Look fast standing still.

You owe it to your eyes to protect them with high-performance eyewear that's designed to excel while riding. Things like a secure fit, excellent clarity, and protection from the sun, bugs, and errant debris that can fly up isn't just a luxury, it's almost downright mandatory. Lucky for us, brands like Rapha offer cycling-specific shades, like these Pro Team Arenberg Glasses, that not only cover the needs mentioned above, they look pretty cool while doing it.

The Pro Team Arenberg Glasses use the same shape as its Pro Team Flyweight Glasses, but adds a full Grilamid frame for a touch more stability, and a locking hinge for more positive action when moving them from your eyes to the helmet vents, or closing them up and placing them in a jersey pocket. A common complaint with full frame glasses is it interferes with your peripheral vision, however, with these glasses, the frame sits flush with the lens so nothing is obscured. Another thoughtful feature that opens up your field of vision is a nose bridge, complete with replaceable pads, that terminates before it reaches the top of the frame giving you a clear view of the road ahead. Strategic venting prevents fogging when pushing the pace up steep roads and rubber grippers run the length of the frame's arms keeping the sunglasses in place even inside helmet vents.

These particular glasses feature an Italian made Carl Zeiss lens in a Bronze Mirror tint that reduces glare and reflections for all-around use in sunny and bright conditions. It allows 13.54% light transmission and five other lens colors are available, sold separately. The lenses feature a hydrophobic and oleophobic coating along with a protective treatment that makes them scratch and fog resistant.

The Pro Team Arenberg Glasses weigh in at a feathery 33 grams and include a metal hard case with high-density foam padding and space for two additional lenses.
