Get a rise out of the near weightlessness.

Weighing in at sub-180 grams, the Next 3/4in Riser uses a unidirectional carbon fiber weave. By placing the fibers parallel to each other and using resin epoxy to bond them together, they become stronger than woven carbon fiber. In addition, Race Face’s bonding process removes any excess resin and air bubbles by compacting the carbon fibers under extreme pressure. This ensures that the bars have no spots that will fatigue. To further improve your confidence, the clamp zones have been additionally reinforced. So, go out and white knuckle your next downhill with full confidence and none of the weight of alloy.

The claimed weight is a bit modest

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Initial use and feel is really what I would expect of any quality carbon fiber bar. It's really difficult to review a commodity item where the sweep, rise and length can be so personal for the person using it.
I'm not a weight weenie, but these did not weigh out as the claimed weight of 175g. .

Light and Stiff

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This bar has a great shape and is very light and stiff. A great upgrade to any bike out there. I went with the 31.8 clamp so it wouldn't be as stiff compared to the newer 35.0 trend.

Great Bars

Have put these bars on two bikes now. They are solid bars, and you can't beat the price for carbon and from a great brand like RaceFace. They are stiff enough to improve handling but don't sacrifice on comfort.

great bar!

Awesome, affordable set of bars. I put these on an old full suspension bike of mine and it completely changed the look and feel of the bike. It's not easy to find a set of nice carbon bars for this price and from a great brand like Raceface.

This is a great bar for the money! I had never really been a Race Face user. I purchased a fat bike earlier this year and it came with a few Race Face components. I was very impressed with the cranks and so I started looking at their offerings for carbon fiber handlebars. My first stop was always Back Country and I found this NEXT bar for a great price. I've been very impressed with the bar. The dimensions and dampening properties work great and it also looks great to boot! I recently picked up another one of these to install on my Specialized Stumpjumper as well. The matte black goes perfectly with that frame and the increased width of this bar improved my handling substantially over the 685mm bar I had on there.

I've opted to run both of NEXT bars with ESI Chunky grips. I'd recommend these grips for any carbon handlebars as they are silicone and easy to install and remove/re-use.

Save some money and grab one of these for a great carbon bar for XC and trail riding.
