Stop shivering on sub-freezing nights.

Ready for freezing nights on exposed bivi ledges and camping in the icy depths of winter, the Rab Neutrino Endurance 600 Sleeping Bag keeps you from shivering with its toasty 800-fill European goose down insulation. Rated down to 15-degrees Fahrenheit (European lower limit), this down-filled bag is a great choice for alpine climbs and winter expeditions where freezing-cold temperatures are expected. Rab's own Sleep Limit rating of 7-degrees Fahrenheit (based off European Standard + user testing) means it'll suffice when the clouds depart and temperatures plummet below the forecast's prediction.

Water-resistant Pertex Endurance and Microlight fabrics prevent outside moisture from seeping through and compromising the down's heat-trapping loft. Going one step further, the down insulation features a hydrophobic coating that repels condensation and built-up perspiration from clumping together its lofty down clusters. Close-fitting neck baffles and trapezoidal baffle chambers lock-in heat by eliminating cold spots resulting from the migration of down insulation. As a cool bonus, this bag zips into other Neutrino Endurance bags when you're camping with your significant other or favorite pooch, or you simply desire double the space for sleeping.

Backpacking in the Andes Mountains

We used these sleeping bags on our self support trip in the Andes Mountains. Our first night at 12000+ feet of elevation we had ice on the inside/outside of our tent. These sleeping bags preformed prefect at around 20 degrees. As we dropped down to 8000 ft of elevation I keep my sleeping bag unzipped and found that to be a perfect temperature..

These bags are 800 fill Goose Down at 600g. The temperature rating at 15 degrees is a very true statement. Having the extra protection of the Pertex shell was piece of mind for durability and in wet conditions.

Excellent Bag 600g of 800 FP Goose Down

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have used this bag in the Pacific NW and the South Island of NZ. The Pertex Endurance shell is ideal for damp climates.

The specifications on the BC web site should read 600g of 800 FP European Goose Down

Hand Filled in Derbyshire

Sleeping bags are firmly where we started and they remain a core part of our range to this day. Back in the 1970's when Rab Carrington was making sleeping bags in Patagonia, he probably didn't imagine that 40 years later sleeping bags with his name on them would be used all over the world in some of the most beautiful yet hostile environments.

To this day, we hand-fill our down insulated sleeping bags at our factory in Derbyshire, UK. This allows us to know for definite that, by the time our bags reach our customers, they have never been compressed or stored in a way which could be harmful for the down inside. By filling the bags in house, we can be completely sure that every down sleeping bag that leaves our factory will arrive to our customers in the best possible condition.
