Guide Short Glove

Designed to meet the needs of professional mountain guides in extreme conditions and terrain, the Rab Guide Short Glove can more handle the seasons of hard riding and shredding you'll put them through. Whether you're hitting the backcountry or ripping the resort, the eVent waterproof technology will keep your hands dry through even the wettest of powder days, while the high-pile inner lining gives you low-key warmth that pairs well with your favorite inner liner.

Big on dexterity, this glove has an articulated pre-curved shape and streamlined design that'll make it easy to adjust straps, use gears, and grip poles. The leather palm, cuffs, and fingers provide added durability and style, while the short and slim cuff slide easily under your shell sleeves.

  • Streamlined glove for long seasons of backcountry adventures
  • eVent liner keeps your fingers dry in heavy snowfall
  • Durable leather adds style and gives you long-lasting quality
  • High-pile lining adds comfort and warmth in frosty weather
  • Low-profile cuff slips under jacket sleeves easily

Great All Around Winter Activities Glove

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought these gloves for a week long skiing and ice climbing trip in Vermont. I looked at similar guide gloves from Marmot and Black Diamond. I chose the Rab because I own a few of their products and have been impressed with their quality and durability. I chose the short cuff because I thought they would be more versatile and the Rab long guide glove doesn't have a draw string to cinch down the cuff. The gloves are well constructed, very warm, and look great. I've skied in them when the temperature was 18F. No issues. Hands were warm and dry the entire day. I think these gloves would be great for single digit temperatures but anything below that and you might have to add liners. I haven't had a chance to use the gloves ice climbing yet but they may be slightly too bulky. The gloves are pretty dextrious for skiing but for ice climbing I'll bring these and another thinner pair of glvoes just in case. My hand size is 8.5 which is the top range for a size medium. I ordered a size large. I'm glad I did. The size large was slightly snug but has since stretched to fit my hand perfectly. I definitely didn't want tight fitting gloves for winter use. Overall I'm very happy with these gloves. If the long term durability of these gloves is as great as everything else then I'll update my review with 5 stars.
