My main complaint with droppers since they've been out is reliability. When they work it's great, but far to often they don't work, or don't work right. I have the PRO (Shimano) on two bikes now and have nothing but great luck with them. The provided lever is "ok" but prefer the wolf tooth to go with it. Actuation is smooth, and everything on them has just worked flawlessly. Recommended!

The post drops and returns like it should, but every time I hit a big bump the seat slips back with a loud crack. It’s the single bolt clamp holding the seat rails. I’ve torqued to spec, used lock tite blue, it still slips. It’s a clean and nice design, but lacking proper function and durability.

You can't go wrong with this. AND comes with a real lever, not a useless thumb-stick (I'm looking at you Reverb)

Works well, relatively easy to install. At cold temperatures (below 30F or 0C) it is slow to return. Due to slow returns when cold I gave it 4 stars. This is replacing a Reverb post and works just as well with better remote placement and feel.

I've used a Reverb, KS Lev, RSP plummet, Brand-x Ascent, and even TMars. DEspite paying less, this post compares favorably with the Lev. It's light enough to be on my Mach 4 XC bike, and the shifter-style lever works well with my old-school twist shift front shifter. That set-up resulted from ordering an I-spec-II SLX brake not realising Shimano had moved on from I spec B but anyway, it works! Great reliable post.

The Koryak doesnt look super impressive on paper... Its weight is middle of the pack, it currently is only offered in a 120mm travel, it doesnt have a sweet kashima coat to match the bling of your bike. That being said, it costs roughly half of some other posts (Reverb, Turbine, Transfer once you factor in the cost of the lever). The real kicker is that PRO offers a lifetime warranty on this post. If there's another brand out there that is offering this, I am unaware. Another really nice feature is that the lever comes as Shimano I-spec compatible... if you're running any newer gen Shimano brakes you can integrate the lever in for a very clean look. If you are running a different brand brake you can still use the standard clamp that is included in the box. If 120mm worth of travel is good enough for you (being 5 foot 8, i cant even fit a longer travel post into my frame if i wanted to), this is a fantastic option at a great price.
