Prior's Husume XTC Carbon Ski excels as a touring ski, due to its lighter weight and versatile width, but is also stiff and stable enough to be your daily driver to dance between the resort and the backcountry, slaying powder and dropping cliffs along the way. The mid-fat 109-110m waist stays up in the deep, but is quick to get on edge if you want to rip groomers for the day, and the rockered tip and tail add float and turning ease in any conditions. A wood core keeps the Husume manageable and efficient on the skin track, and also provides a playful yet damp feel on the descent, while layers of carbon and fiberglass add stiffness and lateral stability without adding on the ounces.
