Watchtower 1/2-Zip Shirt - Men's

A welcomed addition to a bestselling series, the Watchtower Long Sleeve 1/2 Zip Shirt offers more than meets the eye. We could say it's just a great cozy pull-on made from a fully sustainable blend of recycled polyester and TENCEL Lyocell fibers, but it's so much more than that.

Why? Because it's designed to also be a trusted partner on those workout days when you need a little extra warmth. It will keep you dry as you turn up the (internal) heat, and protect you from the sun's rays. And with plenty of stretch, it will keep its shape no matter what you put it through.

soft and warm

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Overall the shirt is soft and warm and performs as intended. I like that the zipper is half zip, as the shirt gets pretty warm for me. Wearing it hiking it did a great job of wicking and keeping me warm. It wears warmer than my widweight Capilene baselayer, so it fits a temp zone bridging between midweight and thermal/expedition weight baselayer. On its own, it is a great shirt. It stretches, doesn't clump up in any areas and moves around well. The longer torso is nice and tuckable. One negative is that it lacks thumb loops, which would have been nice. The other negative is the weight. It is heavier than I would have expected compared to say my LS midweight capilene baselayer. It runs true to size but roomy not form fitting.
