Handsome casual coat that performs
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
My wife got me this in the fall after I asked for something 'Not too techie' as an everyday cool weather jacket. Don't let "Shirt Jacket" fool you-- this is a casual coat, just not as beefy as an overcoat or parka. Now mid February I wear this coat nearly daily. I wear a 44 regular suit jacket, and find the Large size to be comfortable on its own but also with enough room to manage a hoodie underneath. It's nicely water resistant and has fared well in light rain and light snow without getting wet. The lining is warm but not puffy and hangs flat. Nice look without any obvious branding, so I feel it's adaptable to more formal occasions. Hangs to below my waist. One way front zipper -- would be nice if 2 way, but if I need the bottom to flange out (getting in and out of a car/ driving), then I just use the snaps in the middle. The sleeve lining is satin-y and puts up no resistance when wearing a hoodie or flannel mid layer. With a mid layer I am cozy with this down to ~20-25 degrees. Upper pockets are roomy enough for gloves/ beanie/water bottle. Lower pockets are lined and zipped. Inside pocket is also zipped and sufficient for a pair of shades or a flask. Overall recommend highly!
