Prana Bronson Pant - Men's

The prAna Bronson has rivet reinforcements and added stretch so it's durable enough to handle all kinds of crazy stuff like vaulting over fences in pursuit of bad guys and sliding across car hoods as you sprint through busy intersections. Or maybe it's just durable enough to handle kicking back with a cold one after you finally send that stupid-hard bouldering problem.

  • A touch of spandex adds flexibility for kicking your feet up
  • Standard fit works well for post-climb chilling
  • Gusseted crotch gives your legs room to move

Great alternative to jeans

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have a number of pairs of Prana Zion pants and love them, but I was looking for something heavier for winter. I work in vineyards, and the Zion pants are cool in the summer and fit really well. I tried a pair of the Bronson pants, hoping for the same great fit. Bingo, they fit well and the little bit of stretchiness comes in handy. They are great in dusty vineyards, and look good out on the town. I bought one pair, and followed up with 2 more. These pants are a great find.

Had To Try

I bought these based on their quantity and quality of reviews and have not been disappointed. I went with Mood Indigo, my only wish would be for there to be a style that's lighter than the Dark Khaki.

    Unanswered Question

Does anyone know if they fixed the issue with unfixable wrinkling?
I have two pairs of these. one from maybe 3 years old, I love them, they fit great and are insanely durable, outlasted two pairs of kuhl ryders for climbing.
That said, I have a second pair, same size, different color, they are about a year newer, they got super wrinkles after the first wash. I didn't leave them in the washer or dryer or anything like that, they just came out of the wash with huge creases. I tried ironing them out to no avail. Reading the review on here, looks like I am not the only one. So I was wondering if the newer versions have this same issue?

Bought one and then got another

Prana is my favorite clothing line for sure, fits me well. Their product line fits most people but can have a specific body size it favors. I'm a climber and relatively skinny and my size was appropriate. Color is accurate, one of my favorite things is the colorful clothing that Prana offers. These are my favorite alternatives to jeans, they're heavy duty and feel durable. They also have stretch fabric and feel really comfortable for a more durable pant.

    Henna Hell Yeah

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 36x34

These pants, in Henna, are incredibly stylish and fun to wear out on the town, while also comfortable enough for a long night of dancing, chilling around the house, running all over town for meetings, biking, light hiking, etc.

That color is just freaking amazing, and takes just about any outfit up a couple notches. The stretch makes them a much more comfortable and practical pair of pants than a lot of other stylish products out there, too. I do find them to bind/rub a bit in the upper thighs sometimes, but I've got huge thighs, and it really isn't bad; I just don't know that I could really boulder in them.

Pockets are good, fit is good, buttons and etc. seem solid after about ~15 days of wearing them (no wiggle, no stress evident). They're also wife-approved, since they apparently make my booty look good. Ain't nothing wrong with that.

So I hope they keep making this color, so y'all can spice up your closets too!

    Love these pants

The quality and fit of these made me run out and buy another pair.

    Unreliable Sizing

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Size Bought: 34

I bought these pants with a length of 30, and they fit in the store. But after I washed them the shrank enough so the cuff was pretty far above my ankle. So I got another pair with a length of 32, expecting them to shrink as much as the first pair. They didn't. After measuring the difference the 32s were actually 4 inches longer than the 30s. Everything else about the pants was fine - Comfortable, stretchy, and soft.

great pants but sizing is Inconsistent

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Size Bought: 32x32

I love Prana's Bronson pants, that is when they fit. I own 5 pairs, and no two fit exactly alike. I am 5'11" 165-170. In the Bronson pant, I wear 32x32, although I have a few 31x32 that fit well. In July 2017, I purchased a pair of 32x32 and they were very baggy in the thigh and seat, not at all like my other (previous) 32x32 which fit much better. It is so frustrating to like a particular line of clothing that has sizing variations. I'm thinking about reaching out to Prana directly to see what they say.

    another durable option

I just got these for my dad who now has 4 different pairs of these. He uses them working outside, but also wears them casually to dinner paired with a Kuhl shirt. Great standard fit and offers a slightly nicer option than some of the other work pants out there.

    Great Pant!

I just got these for my fiance and he loves them! He wears them regularly to work and is way more comfortable than he is in traditional dress pants. He can transition seamlessly to activities after work as well without having to change.

      The only pants i wear

      • Size Bought: Medium

My wife can testify, but these are really the only pants I wear. I have one other pair of TNF pants but they aren't as comfy. These pants are great for climbing or going on hikes as well. Good stretch, excellent fit.

      Awesome Pant!

My husband loves these pants. They are made of a nice, sturdy material, and fit him very well. He has an athletic build (big thighs, robust booty), and nothing about these is too tight. They might look baggy on a skinnier guy, though.

      Great for Active or Casual

These pants are super comfortable, have tons of flexibility, and look like casual pants too. Easy to climb in and then hit the pub with.

what size waist and length did you buy?

I have a few pairs of Bronsons because I love them so much. (In different sizes for race shape and, well, not race shape) The gusseted crotch and perfect amount of stretch make them super comfy, they never bind or pinch. They have been surprisingly durable as well. Not as heavy as Carhart options but I'm not lumberjacking or hearding cattle. The look great to boot! Get some!

ALMOST the best pants ever. Then not.

        • Fit: Runs small
        • Size Bought: 32 32

When I bought these, I thought I had found the perfect pair of pants. They fit fantastically, had the perfect amount of stretch, and seemed like a durable and comfortable set of legs. Then I washed them :/ Good f*@k of 75 dollars because they haven't been the same since. They shrunk up in every proportion, are extremely prone to wrinkles, and almost seem like theyre becoming dry. I still like them, but they were only amazing off the shelf. If Prana could manage to rectify these few problems, they would have an outstanding pair of pants.

        Great Pants

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I'm 6', about 180lbs. I typically wear a 33 waist, sometimes a 34 (I end up getting them hemmed to make it a 1/2 inch tighter or leave it if I want a looser fit). I usually get 32 inch length. I got these pants in Cargo Green and ultimately needed to get a 35 waist for the right fit. I probably won't hem the waist, I like the slightly loose fit. The 32 length was perfect.

Once I got the right fit, I love the pants. Great rugged look and superior comfort.

        Solid pants

Nice solid/sturdy pants with stretch. Remind me of Columbia ROC pants but have stretch in them so all the better. All prana pants seem to run a little long to me. These are great pants for casual or work.

Before I got my first pair I mainly wore Kuhl pants. After having the crotch and other parts wear out on those mainly from commuting on my bike I decided to try something else. These Pranas seem more durable and they fit me better in the length and waist. I have 4 pairs of these now and will likely buy more when they wear out.

2nd pair I've bought - got them in the Black color for a job I'm working and they've been awesome. I wear a lot of Carhartt pants with the utility pocket on the side like the Bronson has, but they aren't as flexible or practical for bicycle commuting (Carhartts are tough, but have no spandex). I found these to have a fit/look similar to Carhartts, but a little more practical. They're more stylish than Carhartts as well, so they look a little better in an office setting.
