Why We Like The Alameda Pant

The Alameda has the same fit, feel, and function as prAna's most popular pant for hiking can climbing, the Stretch Zion. The only difference is prAna made the Alameda out of their new ReZion fabric, which consists mainly of recycled nylon with a bit of stretch. The water-resistant treatment is PFC-free, too.

Run quite large

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I measured my waist. 39", much as I hate to admit it. I ordered the 40 waist, there's about 4" more waist band than fits me. Lame.

Comfortable & Functional, my new fav!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I’m a larger “gut” guy and the material works well for me. Comfy, and just enough stretch and give without being too baggy or too tight. Pockets accommodate my needs (wallet, phone, keys or gel pack and compass). So comfy I plan to wear on my next 13 hour overseas flight; and because they look so darn good! Clean easy, lightweight, and give/flex while wearing both active and relaxing.

All I wear is Prana now

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

These are the best pair of pants I have ever owned. They are a bit expensive, but absolutely worth it. I love the side pocket to carry my minimalist wallet and the zipper is sturdy; it won?t go down unless you really give it some pressure. The pants are light, breathable, but you can tell that they are very strong and won?t rip easily. I bought 3 more pair in all colors after I got my first order in.

The pants you want to wear

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

The fit, feel, and comfort is just what I hoped for. They stretch just enough and work in any setting. While they are on the lighter side for late fall/early winter, these will be in regular rotation.

My New Favorite Hiking Pant

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I have been a longtime fan of the Prana Stretch Zions, but have always found them a little too baggy for me and I didn't love the cargo pocket. This is the perfect solution for me and my new favorite hiking pant for sure. It has the same stretch and a much slimmer profile. Along with that, they did away with the huge cargo pocket on these and instead gave us a side zipper pocket. If you are looking for a more modern version of the Prana Stretch Zions, look no further.

The Pant That Does It All

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

These pants are awesome. prAna came out with their new ReZion fabric which is pretty similar to the original Zion fabric but even more Sustainable. I'm always nervous when a company changes up their tried and true fabrics but don't worry these are just as good if not better. One thing to note, the fabric seems to be a touch shinier than your original zion series. I personally like this because it makes the pant even more versatile. You can comfortably sit down at a nice restaurant while you're traveling the globe or hike up a mountain and take them for a Base jump. prAna added a concealed zipper pocket on the right thigh which is big enough for a phone. All in all prAna knocked it out of the park again!

Great Fit & Feel

Familiarity:

These feel honestly so comfortable. I hike and rock climb and they are perfect for both, because of the light material and flexibility. They feel very breathable and I look forward to more adventures in them!

Yep these are awesome

Familiarity:

I've been looking for a solid hiking and climbing pant that doesn't look like I am going backpacking. I can wear these anywhere and they just look like nice pants. I have had these for a month or so and they seem like they are going to hold up to abuse really well. Really comfortable, great fit, I will be buying another pair.

Favorite Outdoor Pant

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I have had the original Stretch Zion pant so I thought I would give these a try. The look good and fit well. The seem pretty true to size. More of a chino look than the other styles. They have a hidden cargo pocket which is nice because I don't like having a big external cargo pocket.
