Get a grip.
The POC Fondo Glove enhances grip and dexterity when you're zipping along idyllic country roads and climbing mountain passes. Lightweight four-way stretch fabric and cut-off fingertips enhance overall breathability on stifling summer rides. The lightly padded palm absorbs fatiguing road vibration when you're logging long distances. Its silicone printed palm adds a bit more grip, even when you're sweating profusely. Plus, the terry cloth patch provides a soft surface for wiping sweat off your face and forehead.
- Q & A
POC very smooth and durable
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
I have been riding POC xc gloves for over a year and they are just now starting to wear in a couple of places. They have been some of the best gloves I have ever had. Very good quality and minimalist design. I love the way they look. I got these POC Fondo gloves and they are identical so far in quality and looks. Both POC gloves also wash very well and clean. I'll keep using them if they continue the quality. Next best gloves for xc have been Fox. Giro and others wear pre-maturely in my experience.
- Fit: Runs small
Come on POC! The MSRP on this glove is way too high for a glove this crappy. Even at 50% off ($22.50) I'm still returning it. I tried it on...or at least tried to put it on. It needs a velcro strap like most high quality gloves. I only ordered it because it was green and I wanted it to match my POC Octal helmet and green kits.
Fit is fine
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Medium
I was a little apprehensive about buying POC gloves, based on lots of negative reviews regarding size. However, the medium size gloves fit me perfectly (hands measure ~7.9" around the knuckles). I also like the minimalist palms--just a thin pad on the base of your hands. The gloves are a bit tricky to get on and off (no velcro clasp); POC could have perfected this design by adding finger hooks like other manufacturers do.
