POC Fondo Bib Short - Men's
POCFondo Bib Short - Men's

Scandinavian sensibility.

Clean lines and Scandinavian minimalism are hallmarks of POC aesthetics, and if your training drawer is looking a little more stretched, ragged, and sweat-stained than you remember after last year, the Fondo Men's Bib Short is a good place to start your upgrade. Inspired by POC's top-end racing kit, the Fondo occupies a price point more courteous to the self-sponsored cyclist, but it was built to withstand high weekly mileage totals.

POC constructs the Fondo using four supportive panels, half of what traditional bib shorts usually feature. With a stretchy but contoured nylon/elastane blend, the Fondo achieves a next-to-skin fit that requires fewer seams than traditional eight-panel designs. It also means that the short gives you ample freedom of movement in the saddle while helping to stabilize your muscles and wick moisture.

At the leg openings, partial silicone grippers hold hemlines in place as you stand and stretch out in the saddle, ensuring you don't spend the majority of your ride tugging your shorts back into place along your tan lines. POC cuts the bibs with a high waist, catering to riders who enjoy a supportive, rather than minimalist, girdle design. Along the inside, a Fondo chamois lines the short, providing a blend of plush, foam cushioning and slim, minimal seaming that will enable you to stay out for hours without inhibiting your range of motion in the saddle.

  • High-mileage bib shorts for training and sportives
  • Four panel construction reduces seams and irritation
  • Endurance chamois maintains long-ride comfort
  • High waist adds support across the belly
  • Silicone grip maintains leg fit and keeps tan lines crisp
  • Clean aesthetics define POC's Scandinavian sensibilities

Lives up to their name

Broke these in on a recent century ride. They're the most comfortable, supportive bibs I've ever owned.

nice bibs

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: large

First time trying POC. I have 34inch waist chart said medium but went for large after reading reviews. Just right for sizing at that. I usually take XL in Castelli or Sportful. these are a little less compressive in the thighs than my other shorts. Material is nice quality. Have used these for several 1 hour rides. to trial them. As soon as started riding forgot about the shorts. That is how I think it should work so am happy with these. The shoulder straps do not cut in as much as the casteli I own. I have sportful, casteli, assos, lusso, funkier bibs. These and the sportful are my preferred.

Great, BUT logo will peel off. BUMMER.

I love these bibs (super comfortable, I ride a lot), but the logo is poorly applied and WILL peel off. I bought them 4 months ago, with the Raceday Climber Jersey, and I'm kinda bummed. Looks shabby. I'd like to return them for a new pair, but fear the logo will peel off that one , too.

Am I supposed to hand wash these...?

Oddly enough, the Raceday Climber Jersey's logo is printed (not applied like a sticker) and still looks great.

How is the length (inseam) of the shorts? Do they go to just above the knee?

Best friends for long rides

These are great for longer rides. 4+ hours in the saddle in a gravel race and my rear was hurting less than any other part of my body.

The padding is nice & thick on the seat bone area, but thinner in the front, which prevents that "soggy diaper" feeling my old shorts gave me.

The straps are very comfortable (don't even notice them) and they pull down easy in the front for those mid-ride "pauses" 😁

POC fondo bibs

Bought these to match colours of race day jersey as couldn't find matching race day bibs. Very comfortable. Rides of 50 miles have been good for comfort. No riding up the leg. Fit well

Technical and Comfortable

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

First pair of bibs since I have gotten back on a bike in years and these have been my only and exclusively used bib for the last few months. Overall these are super comfortable. They fit very well for me. Minimal seams. Great grippers in the leg. Comfortable straps which you don't feel and breathe very well. Chamois is not to thick and not too thin its just right. Really great feeling fabric, feels very much like a second skin. Technically in every way amazing, but in the last few washes the fabric that attaches to the chamois is starting to separate on the edges, I have been gentle by just hand washing and air dry. Its not an issue at the moment and I hope it does not get worse. So besides this issue which could be that I have just been using them so much, they are pretty amazing.

Hi, I am 5.8 and 158lbs, do you think a size S could fit me? I noticed you bought M, but how tight is in M? They only have it on special in size S. Thanks

Apologies Juan V. I am just seeing this. Can't speak for the small, but the medium are pretty snug and I am a size 31 - 32 proper. Hope that is helpful.

Perfect fit and function!!

These bib shorts are the most comfortable I've owned, giving Castelli a run for their money! They look and feel great. In fact, I can't even feel the shoulder straps. They breathe and don't ride up on the leg at all. I may buy a few because I can see me wearing these exclusively.
