Lightweight melon protection.
You're already shaped like an orange on a toothpick, and your head is only going to get bigger when you're stomping rails like a boss and jibbing the Jehoshaphat out everything in sight, so it really makes sense to keep your helmet weight down, so you don't tip the scales in the wrong direction once you add a helmet to the equation. Designed in collaboration with park and freestyle master, Aaron Blunck, the POC Auric Helmet is made with a lightweight ABS shell and a multi-impact EPP liner, so you can shred safely, without feeling like you just strapped a big ol' egg shell to your noggin.
The unique design of the Auric puts protection where you need it most with thicker padding in areas prone to impact and increased protection for the ears and temples. Inside the helmet is a soft padding to keep the actual fit of the helmet secure and comfortable, while vents at the front, top, and back of the helmet help to prevent overheating during warm spring sessions in the park. The Auric comes with two sets of ear pads to boost the versatility of the helmet, but it can also be worn with a beanie and goggles underneath if you'd rather take that route. Regardless of how you wear the Auric, you can rest assured that you will stay safe behind its durable shell and multi-impact liner.

POC makes me feel SAFE
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This helmet looks rad, much like a hockey style helmet. The fit is true to size and fits my round dome. It is not a low-profile helmet but it still looks hip and feels safe. I enjoy this helmet!
This helmet claims to fit well with a beanie and goggles underneath. Should my head circumference be measured with a beanie on for sizing? or without....
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
I was interested in this helmet because of POCs great reputation. Nothing was wrong with the helmet except that it fits for a very round shape head. I felt like I had the correct size, but all the pressure from the helmet was on the front and back of my head since my head shape is more oblong. I've since noticed this on a lot of POC reviews, and it's true.
