Its toasty 550-fill down insulation traps precious body heat from escaping when the mercury dips below freezing.
Striking an ideal balance between rugged durability and comfort, Penfield's signature 60/40 shell is ideal for outdoor pursuits with its tightly woven windproof fabric. This outer shell is treated with a DWR and Teflon coating to repel outside moisture from seeping through and compromising the down's heat-trapping loft. Additionally, its tightly woven construction makes it completely downproof, meaning that down clusters won't escape or migrate after casual wear and washing.
