You know what they say about big tires…they need Pedro's Downhill Tire Lever.
The battle of downhill tire removal is often lost to many broken tire levers and bruised hands, and that's why Pedro's offers the heat-treated steel Downhill Tire Lever. It's made to get under the biggest, baddest DH tires out there and provide the leverage needed to pop tight beads over a rim's edge.
The shovel tip is smooth to prevent rim and tire damage, and the nearly 11-inch length is complemented with an ergonomic, dual-density handle. Pedro's Downhill Tire Lever is backed by their lifetime warranty.
Not Really a Tire Lever
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Sure, with it's smooth polished edge, ergo handle, and spoon shape tip, it would make a great tire lever. Reality is, I use it for just about everything but that. It's a great tool to separate your brake pads when installing new pads or removing dust wipers from your fork without scratching up the casting.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I used this for ALL tires, makes things a breeze when changing any type of tire. Most importantly are the DH Tires. I use it primarily as a starter pick, then I put in a plastic piece, then use the tool again to go around the tire. I use it for both installing and removing tires.
Also this tool is great for removing bushings of forks when servicing.
