Pearl Izumi's SELECT Pursuit Jersey will remind you of why you woke up when it was still dark out, drove a couple of hours, and are now standing at a start line surrounded by a group of jittery competitors, and it will behave the way a race jersey should once you're finally navigating the shoulder-bumping corners and pace lines of race day.

After the starting gun goes off, the jersey's SELECT Transfer fabric will work to continuously usher moisture away from your skin while maintaining a contoured race fit without any baggy fabric to create drag. Simple features like an elasticized gripper on the back hem and full-length zipper for additional ventilation make a significant difference in comfort once you're on-course.

For races longer than your standard crit, the SELECT Pursuit has three rear pockets to store the nutrition you rely on, and if your group was given a start time pre-dawn or in the late afternoon, reflective accents help to ensure you stay visible to other road users on open courses.

Runs a little small but super comfortable anyway.

Sleeves of this jersey are super small and tight. Rest of jersey runs small as others have said but sleeves are extremely small.

Well, I'm not a big person and normally clothing made in North America, I fit into a small. Italian I go to medium. Used to be able to count on PI sizing, but in my last three attempts at their jerseys I have had to return all of them. The small wouldn't close at all. I would normally exchange for a medium, but I like to carry stuff in my jersey pockets, cause I don't use a bag. I prefer to hook a light on my post. Trouble is PI jerseys in a medium are too long, and hang down to the seat and sway around when loaded up. So I have given up on PI stuff. Gonna stick with Giordana and Castelli. Their mediums work perfect and fit like a glove. Totally subjective, I know, but I'm just throwing in my 2 cents. I returned this jersey immediately.

I just returned to cycling after an 18-year hiatus. To say that cycling technology has changed in that time period would be an understatement. I was a serious rider from 1983 through 1999 and now in 2017 I found myself definitely in need of some new jerseys. This Pearl Izumi Select Pursuit Jersey was my first purchase for my modern riding attire and I am thrilled with all aspects of it: fit, comfort, and function. First, I'll address fit: for me at 5'10" and a 44" chest (I ordered an XXL) this is the only jersey that I own that I would call true to fit for a nice, comfortable Relaxed Fit. Not near as snug as any of my other jerseys, but not loose--it is an ideal fit that I will compare all other jerseys to in the fit department. Top quality and a great value, especially when compared to some of my vintage jerseys. Because I've just started riding again this Fall I haven't been able to put it through the wringer in hot and humid riding conditions yet, but I have absolutely no regrets purchasing it. I prefer jerseys with simple, classic designs and the Select Pursuit Jersey ticks all of my boxes. I like the quality of Pearl Izumi so much I immediately purchased three pairs of Pearl Izumi bib shorts as well as one of their thermal long sleeve jerseys for some late Fall, early winter riding. Great stuff!

Run small but not as Castelli.

Too small

  • Fit: Runs small

This jersey doesn't fit true to the size, it fits small in the chest, arms and waist. Looks cool, but just doesn't fit right.

Good Product. Good Price Point.

Being new to road cycling, I didn't have anything really to compare this shirt to. So I balanced it's "wicking" ability in comparison to several of my fitted workout shirts by other manufacturers. First, getting the right size is important. I wear an XXL in my other shirts and got an XXL here and it fits appropriately, although I wish it was just a tad longer, but I can live with it. Second, it's wicking capability works well. Although at the end of my rides I was sweating, it didn't feel like I had until I started to take it off. It's a quality shirt at a sensible price point. Highly recommended unless you're looking for that $150-250 product line. Reasons I didn't give it a full five stars: it lost half of a point because it could've been just a tad longer (that's just me though) and the other half of a point; either one of the pocket/pouches on the back with a zipper would've been a nice touch. They don't cost that much.

Excellent Jersey...Sizing Waaaay Off!!

I'm 5'10" 175 lbs. and sometimes wear a medium cycling jersey, but typically I wear a large. After reading a review on this jersey, I went out on a limb and ordered a size XL. Understand, I don't wear an XL in anything. The jersey (ordered 2) arrived and it was "doable" but tight. I probably should have ordered an XXL which is nuts! Bottom line, order one to two sizes larger than you normally wear and I think you will be very happy with this jersey. Very nice product for the price.

Was going to order one but after reading this I am out. I wear XXL already. Having a hard time finding a lower priced yellow jersey.

You will need to order the next size up of you want this jersey.
I am a 42" chest and I could hardly get it over me. I don't see where in the world they get the size chart for this jersey. Someone does not know how to measure. NOW, I have to spend $6.99 for a return. So my jersey will cost me about $7.00 more then the price listed.

I, too, am sick of the stupidity of the major manufacturer's sizing charts. I'd love to see sizes standardized based on measurements: a Large should fit a man between 42-44" in chest size, just like an American T-shirt does. Instead, Castelli deems a 44" chest to be XXL or even XXXL if you want it long enough. Pearl Izumi used to be one company I could trust for "true" sizes (Large always fit) but no longer. In particular, a PI Large is now too short in front and I haven't changed. Yes, cut for riding position but don't we all stand up before, during and after a ride? I don't use bib shorts (just like most non-racers). If I go up one size and they are too long in the back. Just crazy. The winner in all this is UPS.
