All the fun is in the pursuit.

Pearl Izumi developed its Elite Pursuit Jersey for those who ride in environments that're subject to harsh, unforgiving sun. As a result, the jersey's fabric is designed to reflect the sun's rays in order to keep you cool throughout an exposed ride. And, in addition to this, the lightweight Elite Transfer fabric provides exceptional moisture management, while Izumi's exclusive In-R-Cool technology acts to add even more protection from the sun harmful rays.

The Elite Transfer fabric boasts a knit surface area that facilitates the wicking and evaporation of moisture. And, in addition to this, the material's Ice-fil treatment has been designed to cool the surface of the skin. On top of that, Izumi's In-R-Cool technology reflects the sun's rays, effectively lowering the surface temperature of the fabric.

In fact, Izumi claims that this treatment lowers the surface temperature of the fabric by up to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in direct sunlight. Further along the lines of this principle, you'll find that the Elite jersey features Direct-Vent side ventilation panels for increased airflow through the jersey. However, when your core temperature is building, we all know that you can't beat a front zipper for ventilation. Accordingly, the Pursuit jersey features an easy-to-use, full-length zipper.

For storage of your ride essentials, Izumi included three ample-sized rear pockets. Additionally, Izumi also included a fourth sweat-proof pocket is included in order to keep your phone accessible and safe from damaging moisture. Extra support at the back pockets keep them from sagging when fully-loaded, and an elasticized gripper on the back's bottom hem keeps the jersey fully in place throughout the movements of cycling.

In terms of fit, you'll find that Elite Pursuit features a slightly more relaxed fit in comparison to the P.R.O. line of jerseys. Reflecting this characteristic, the overall aesthetic of the jersey is also more toned down. As a result, Izumi has created a striking, yet subtle staple piece for your summer closet.

The Pearl Izumi Elite Pursuit Jersey is available in five sizes from Small to XX-Large and in the colors Black/white, Black/screaming yellow, True Blue/white, True Red/white, and White/black.

Good Training Jersey

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size

This jersey is eye catching or sure. I loved the colors and I'm a sucker for bright orange accents. The material is very nice. Soft, good amount of stretch. The sleeves from the edge through the shoulder are form fitting with that nice clean edge on your arm where it ends. I ended up returning this jersey because lately I find myself gravitating towards more of a race fit with jerseys and this is not that. Probably a year ago this jersey would've been a keeper for me. While there's certainly no flapping material throughout the body, its not as snug as I'd prefer. I bought a large and I'm 6'0, 180lbs, 33inch waist and 41 in chest.

Great jersey

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

I always wear PI size L but I like a tighter fit than you sometimes get with the Elite line. This is a tighter "pro" fit than some of the other Elite jerseys but it is perfect in my opinion. I have two and will probably buy another.

Works fine

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

True to its size and looks fine as well.

Race Fit!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

I tried it on initially and felt I need to size up. I had ordered another one with a more relaxed fit of the same size. Remember this is "Race" fit. So it's supposed to be a little tight and short in the front.

Been using it for a month now. Looking great.

Small fitting jersey

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XXL

Very small jersey that is not truly representative of its advertised size.

Jim, you're about my same size, did you opt for an XXXL or went with another brand?

Mark W., I opted to return the jersey and not purchase another one as I thought the sizes available were just not large enough for me.

Light weight and Comfortable

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This jersey wicks extremely well and is very comfortable for long rides. Due to its lightweight I tend to only pack a few items (two gels and a bar, one tube, lever, CO2, phone, and clear covers). Any more than that and the jersey gets weighed down. Highly recommended for long endurance rides.

Pretty Nice

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It has a looser fit if you are use to race type fits, but it?s very cool and breathable. The materials are very nice.

No thanks.

Collar too tight and no give, zipper not structured enough to move with one hand. Material really flops in the wind on descents. Doesn't really feel like it's cut for a bicycling position. Does keep you cool.
