Ride through the rain.

Don't let cool, wet weather get in the way of enjoying your ride. Pearl Izumi's Barrier Lite Cycling Cap offers protection from wind and rain while staying breathable enough for you to keep it on for the duration of your ride — rain or shine. The brim shields you from sun or water, and the body panels of Softshell Lite and P.R.O. Transfer Dry provide a protective, wind-resistant layer while facilitating quick moisture transfer without adding bulk to the traditional cycling cap's silhouette. As a finishing touch, Pearl Izumi added reflective logos to the top and underside of the brim to help keep you visible in low light or rainy conditions.

Cycling cap

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: N/a

This is a great cap. First the fit. One size fits all. Not too loose and not to tight. It has elastic in the back but it doesn't look super bunchy like old school caps. When I wear my cap the area where the elastic is lays flat and appears smooth

The cap feels like you're wearing nothing while under a helmet or not. It extremely light in weight but is very high quality. The bill retains it shape while wearing and after being in and out of my pack three and four times a day. Once you put it on it stays put. May need some shifting to get your helmet in proper position but there was no wandering after.

It is water repellent and breathable. Even when worn under my helmet there was no feeling that it was retaining any additional heat. It does an excellent job of ventilation as well as providing that crucial spot of shade between the top of my sunglasses and the bottom of my helmet. Definitely a welcomed addition to my daily cycling gear.

Has "Pearl iZumi" under the bill and is visable when it's flipped up. Sort of a nod to the glory days of the cycling cap right before helmets were mandatory. Think Brooklyn and Eddy Merckx.

Excellent quality product where form and function are top priorities but yet neither was sacrificed for the sake of the other.
