Go long.

The Patagonia Women's Strider Pro Running Shorts have all the features you need to propel you to success on your next high-mileage trail adventure. The outer fabric is treated with a DWR finish that allows it to dry quickly and shed moisture as you run. The mesh liner is not only cooling, but it also features a Polygiene anti-odor treatment to keep you fresh. Since nobody wants to bonk out midway through a run, Patagonia bumped up the pocket count to seven to store gels, snacks, and anything else you might need throughout your journey. A high split-leg opening allows for ease of movement, and a reflective logo lets you be seen when your run takes you out to a more populated area.

  • Performance-focused shorts for long trail adventures
  • Moisture-wicking, fast-drying, and DWR-treated fabric
  • Cooling mesh liner with Polygiene odor control
  • Seven pockets to stash gels and other running essentials
  • Semi-fitted cut with split-leg opening for ease of movement
  • Reflective logo and front and back promote visibility

Still a nice short

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: S

The only thing is about the material of the headband. If it can be more thinner like my existing Nike short, then would be perfect. But overall, Patagonia one is also a good one, it’s lightweight and flattering!

Great shorts!

I love these shorts. They fit well and have a great small pocket on the back for my key fob or chapstick. Very comfy.

Wife's go to running shorts

My wife loves these shorts! She runs in them regularly and says that they fit great! The back pocket is great to keep keys in while running.

    Solid Strider

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

    Solid short, weird sizing.

I love Patagonia, but I have yet to fall in love (completely) with any of their running shorts. With that being said, despite sizing issues, I've found myself grabbing these quite a bit when heading out for trail runs. I am in-between sizes in these shorts and for this reason, I own both small and medium. The lining is just a tad tight in the smalls and the waist is too large in the mediums. Just for reference, I wear small in SmartWool, North Face, Nike, Brooks, and 6 in Lululemon. One thing I *am* crazy about is the pockets. These shorts can haul a surprising amount of gels. This makes them perfect for long trail adventures or races. I used them last year in a 50k and they did just the trick (paired with a handheld water bottle). Also, the material is featherlight (I've never had any issues with chaffing, even when wet), dries super fast, and the length is perfect (they don't ride up). The odor control is definitely an added benefit, it works wonderfully, especially if you tend to wear the same running shorts multiple days in a row (I've definitely *never* done this). (Bonus: they are very flattering).

Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
    Hip:
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
    Inseam:
