Perfect for travel

Purchased this jacket for my husband, son and daughter for a winter trip to New Zealand and Australia where we might encounter snow, rain and cool temperatures. Packs so well and can withstand the wet climate.

Perfect for camping, hiking, or waiting for your train. I love being able to stuff it in its own pocket-- great for traveling in changing climates.

Looking for a vegan alternative to lightweight down? This is a winner.

I wear it to work half the year and pack it in the bag for touring. packs small, tons of warmth, and the last one lasted a few years with a lot of abuse and not being cared for properly

If you want a bomber synthetic puffy that can be thrashed and still keeps on going, this is the one to get. I've had mine for about 5 to 6 years now and although it has a few patches, stains, and holes I still love it. I am 6'4 klajd

    Favorite Jacket

    • Size Bought: Medium

I love this so much that I got one for my wife, son (10), and daughter (7). This is the best all-around coat I've ever had - it keeps you warm in most fall and spring chills, and you don't overheat in it. It's just real versatile and real comfortable and looks great. I would say it covers mid-40's to 70's in terms of temperature. And even lower than 40's if you layer underneath. (I generally just have on a t-shirt or collared SS tech shirt under).

    Awesome jacket

Love this jacket! Lightweight but very very warm!

    Can use it in Fall

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought it for my husband. Really like the way it fits, super light but not suitable for winter in Seattle. If looking for warmth, this is not something you are looking for.

    Amazing Mid-Layer and Everyday Use

Purchased this gem at the end of December to wear under my shell while snowboarding, and it's been GREAT! Super light weight and has kept me toasty on snowy Park City powder days. I find the fit to be pretty spot on. I am 5'8, 150 lbs and a small fit perfectly. Should also mention that it looks great and I wear it as a jacket on my way to work in the mornings. Tons of use out of this thing. Great buy.

This is my first Nano puff I've owned and it's my go to item of clothing at the moment. Crazy lightweight but still warm. The fact that it packs into the inside pocket for storage is a huge plus.

    Year Round Utility

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large

One of the best year round jackets available from a company you can trust. A 60 gram synthetic should be a staple in any outdoor enthusiasts wardrobe. Whether you're using this camping on a chilly Summer night or as a midlayer in the dead of Winter this piece excels. 10/10

    Returning - odd fit

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: M

According to size chart, this should fit me. I'm in the middle of the medium ranges on chest, arms, waist, neck. Someone should specify that the middle of the jacket will look like a balloon, and it fits half-way down your butt for length. Most P-products fit me fine, this one does not - probably why its on sale. So if you happen to be six-one-plus, a 38" chest, have a beer belly but a 32" waist like the size chart says - in other words, you are shaped like a pear on a stick, it should fit just fine. Rest of the jacket seems to be well made.

    Great Jacket

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

This jacket is lightweight but warm. The black is good because it isn't shiny like the ultralight down jacekt so it is lower key and can be worn to work, but then I can also wear it skiing. It is also versatile because it is warm but not super warm like a heavy down jacket so you can wear it in a lot of different temps and activities.

Own a couple, couldn't be happier

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have a couple of Patagonia Nano Puff jackets and love them. They are ultra light, and have a normal enough fit that they can easily be slid under a shell as an insulation layer when the weather gets bad.

These are highly breathable, and I find them comfortable in weather down to the low/mid 30s. Below that I tend to go do to down.

How does the warmth of this jacket compare to the traditional Patagonia down sweater jacket? I have the down sweater jacket, and am looking for a lightweight, early spring alternative that can be worn comfortably in 25-45 degree weather?

    Mikey,

The Down Sweater is a little warmer piece than the Nano Puff here. I think you'd be super psyched on this for a spring jacket.

So this is my 2nd Patagonia Nano Puff...and I loved the first one so much..SO MUCH!!...that I bought this one. And as soon as it arrive I knew Patagonia had been messing with their clothing fit once again. So now, after they ruined the Puckerwear...ex-greatest shirt of all time...they have ruined this jacket.
I am about the same size as Yvon - not tall, not fat, not super huge arms. And the original Nano Puff fit perfect. This one doesn't have rooms for my shoulders, my arms, or my gut. Again, I'm not a body builder nor am I fat...I'm just built like a guy who plays in the mountains and goes fly fishing and rides a bike, but also has kids and coaches baseball.
STOP making your clothes only fit 6' tall 22 year olds!! Make them fit people like the founder of your company.
So, that said, if you're a 6' tall 22 year old, you're going to love this jacket.

I'm not 22 but I am a (former) Bodybuilder. I often have trouble fitting my arms and shoulders in jackets that look good on other people. Can you clarify the arms a bit? Usually I can get away with an XL @ approx. 17" arms......am I gonna have trouble with this nano puff?
    Thanks!

Sounds like Patagonia should definitely change their sizing ASAP...then again, maybe you should stop eating taco bell five times a week.

    Another Home-Run from Patagonia

I recently acquired one of these jackets, and it is quickly becoming one of my favorites! It is pretty thin, so it is a great layering piece, especially for skiing. It packs down super small, so it is extremely portable. Keeps me super warm, but isn't bulky or heavy at all! If this isn't warm enough, I would recommend taking a look at the Patagonia Down Sweater.

Bought as a gift for my 21 year old son. Size M, color Navy. Perfect fit. He wore it under his Salomon shell while skiing in Canada over Christmas break. He has commented on that fact that it is very light weight and warm.

Gave this to my brother for his bday!

He loves it! He's an avid camper and cyclist and it's a perfect lightweight but versatile jacket. It's insulation keeps you pretty toasty despite it's lightweight feel, and the bright blue color with red zippers looks great in person.

This jacket is one of the most versatile jackets you'll ever own. I bought one for my brother who tends to overheat, but this jacket keeps him warm without being too much. He loves it because he can wear it hiking or skiing, but also wear it to dinner with friends. His verdict: "The Nano Puff is a must."
