Forget The Deodorant.

You sweat when you're nervous, excited, scared, and stoked—which, come to think of it, are all the feelings you experience when you make a move on a spindly climb, clear a downed tree during a trail run, and approach your objective while backcountry skiing. The Patagonia Men's Nano-Air Light Hybrid Vest is more than equipped to handle those activities and a whole lot more.

Designed specifically for adventures that often include a proclivity for sweating, the Nano-Air Light Hybrid continues the proverbial benefaction of the Nano-Air lineage with its lightweight, durable, and stretchy constitution. However, this vest's main point of differentiation lay within its airy waffle knit on the sides and back panel, which have a CFM rating of 40 in the front and 130 in the back. In other words, this fabric expedites the release of excess body heat, wicks moisture, and dries quickly to ensure that you stay anything but saturated or clammy. Much like its elder siblings, the Nano-Air Light Hybrid features 40g FullRange synthetic insulation, which is not only warm (even when wet), but also highly pliable to maintain unimpeded mobility as you run, post-hole, or ski down the mountain. A DWR treatment protects you, the shell, and lining from moisture, while two welted and zippered hand pockets are compatible with a pack or harness.

  • Tackle all and any high-octane adventures with this vest
  • Lightweight, durable, and stretchy fabric for mobility
  • DWR treatment fends off light precipitation
  • FullRange insulation provides warmth even when wet
  • Waffle knit panels regulate temperature and wick away moisture
  • Welted and zippered hand pockets are harness or pack compatible

Nice vest, but...

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: L

I really like this vest in almost every way. It's light weight, yet warm. The back breathes well, and the front protect against wind. It seems reasonably durable. My only criticism is that I wish the waist had a draw cord, and it seems a little bit long. I am tall and purchased a Large. Perhaps a Medium would have been a little shorter, but I don't think it would have been big enough. Over all a nice piece.

perfect for backpacking

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

This vest looks good and performs better. The Hybrid is perfect for hiking or climbing with a pack. The insulated front keeps you warm while the back is breathable. the fit is just like every other Patagonia product so the Medium fit perfect for me.

程よく快適

    So comfortable

Super soft and comfortable base layer. I layer it under my shell and over a base layer on cold days skiing. I also wear it around the house or office when it’s cold. It’s like wearing a lightweight blanket. I’m between a medium and small in most jackets. I tried both and went with the medium. It’s definitely slimmer fitting.

      Love this vest

Works great and dries fast. Not pack friendly though. The fabric just doesn't last on the front where my pack rubs. I will buy another one though when it wears out. Id give it a 5 star rating but its just not durable enough.

      Awesome Vest!

If you are highly active and looking for a really breathable, core insulation piece, then you should definitely pick one of these up. At first you may think it won't be warm enough but it really does regulate your temperature extremely well and keep you warm but not over-heat. I'm 6' - 165 lbs and went with a size Large, fits me perfect. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

This vest is great. It is extremely lightweight and surprisingly warm. It works great as a performance piece with the Waffle knit back, perfect for hiking with a backpack because it lets your back breather more. This vest also looks great layered over a flannel shirt.

      Excellent All Year Vest

Picked this up along with the Nano Air Vest. Fantastic vest for all seasons. Excellent stretch and warmth without hardly any weight. Love this piece. This provides more breathability than the regular Nano Air because of the waffle knit sides and back. This means you won't heat up as quickly, especially when you're on the move. That said, it doesn't keep you as warm as the Nano Air Vest when it gets cold and you're standing around. You can check out this vest compared to the Nano Air Hybrid here youtu.be/3D2YbGw0dYA

      Excellent All Year Vest

      Best Layering Piece

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Like many others, I suffer from horrific back sweat. I simply do not need any insulation whatsoever on my back. I do however, appreciate the windbreak and warmth on my core. This thing is perfect. From cycle commuting to snowshoeing, this is my go to active layering piece. Since I intended to use it under a shell, I went with the Large. I am 6'5 and 200lbs

I am really pleased with this piece. I love the hybrid aspect to it, and will make it something that I envision myself using often! It is surprisingly light, and still packs down fairly small. It breathes super well too!

This vest is a great addition to the Nano-air family, and the hybrid nature of this vest makes it a very versatile piece of clothing. It can be used as a base layer, with the ability to regulate temperature due to the waffle knit pattern apparent, as the excess heat is forced out the entire back and side of the vest. Than this can also be used as a stand alone jacket during the spring or fall, or during the cooler parts of the day; with the low bulk insulation providing great heat. The feel of this vest is one of my favorite things about; with the fabric soft, supply, and stretchy; allowing it to move with your body instead of remaining static while you move. Over-all another great product by Patagonia that will quickly become a staple piece in my gear closet.
