    Not your average duffel.

You prefer your salmon filleted, but not your luggage, which is where the Patagonia Black Hole 70L Wheeled Duffel Bag comes into play. This midsized gear hauler is one heck of a Big Bertha with its burly and abrasion-resistant 900D polyester ripstop construction, and the TPU laminate and DWR treatment fend off the gregarious rain storm or accidental spill onto a wet tarmac.

Its U-shaped zipper opening features two mesh pockets beneath it for easy organization, and the internal compression straps allow you to keep your goodies secure. An external zippered pocket is best suited for your passport or boarding pass. Meanwhile, the sturdy frame sheet safeguards the bag from all sorts of mayhem that it's bound to experience, and the oversized wheels assure a smooth ride whether you're ambling over cobblestone streets or through the airport terminal.

    • A midsized traveling BFF with a burly personality
    • Formidable 900D exterior fends off abrasion and mishandling
    • TPU laminate and DWR treatment protects from rain and moisture
    • Multiple zippered pockets offer ease of organization
    • Telescoping handle or haul loops for adaptive carrying

    Can u carry this on?

It'll depend on the airline you will be using but in most cases, yes you can carry it on. You will have to double check the airline you are flying with. The dimensions on this are 28" x 17.5" x 13"70L. That should help out.

Amazing! These are the best bags ever!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Yes, the opening is a bit small as others have stated. But guess what? It's really doesn't matter. The opening is plenty big. It's a rock solid bag that's weatherproof and durable. The wheelbase is wide and feels solid. You'll find yourself looking for reasons to pack it and travel more.

    Great Bags

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have two 70L and one 120L of these bags. They are great! The 70Ls are easily large enough for a week of travel . The 120L is absolutely huge which is great for trips to cold environments when packing extra clothes and gear are necessary. The wheels are great and the bags have held up very well to airline abuse. I couldn't be happier with my purchases.

    Tough Bag

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have been using the 70 L rolling duffle for about year for both work and play travel. In that time I’ve done about 35 trips and 130 days on the road. The bag has held up incredibly well. I treat most of my gear under the “tools not Jewels” philosophy. The duffle has held up well without being babied. I just ordered the 120 L version of the bag for longer more gear intensive trips. I hope it performs as well!

    Great all around

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I gave this to my mom for christmas and she loves it! The color is awesome, and the material used is very weather resistant for those few times that it actually does get wet. Overall a great duffel, and high quality too! I was amazed at how smooth it rolled, the wheels were surprisingly sturdy. I definitely would recommend it

    Luxury Luggage

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I am not a fan of carrying heavy duffel bags through the airport by shoulder straps. This bag is sweet because it has a lot of zippered pockets for keeping your clothes and shoes separate. The wheels are a game changer! If you are a fan of the black hole duffel, this is the perfect travel bag!

How does this fit so much into such a small space? I VERY MUCH over packed for Christmas on the East Coast, and this thing fit it all. And I expect to cram more in there upon my return west. Amazing!

      Name Fits

These things really are a black hole.. bought these for my parents and they both said they overpacked because of how much room they had in their bags. Will be buying one for myself!

        Wheeled Duffel 70L

Smooth wheels and telescoping handles. Heavy duty zippers and material. Wish the access opening was bigger and had more color options.

          Good Simple Wheely

          • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

They call this their mid-sized duffel. The size is okay for a weekend getaway.. perfect for gear-intensive weekends or multi-week travel as well. The Exterior Dimensions are 24" x 14" x 12.5" - which include the wheels and handle but not expandability. These are just the dimensions the airlines recognize. Heavy duty polyester ripstop with waterproof TPU laminate and a DWR finish. Has a large opening to the main compartment with zippered external side pockets and a mesh pocket/lid for your smaller items. Overall a great pack with a lifetime warranty through Patagonia.
