    Too Small

This is too small for what it is advertised. there is no way this pack can hold 18L. a case of bottled water is 30 - .5 liters which would be 15 liters of water. There is no way this pack could even hold the case of water if you poured it in.

      Atom (really) means Small

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Good pack. Solid construction. Functional and comfortable. Downside is this bad boy is small and I have 'things' I like to carry.

Do you think this would hold a small laptop computer?

For sure Katie. It held my 13in Mac without an issue. I just needed a touch more space than what was left over.

      Simply Good

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great daypack. Simple no frills and bombproof. I've carried it for 80 miles and it looks like its fresh off the rack. 18L is plenty big for Socal hiking and everyday use.

Does it have an area to a hold a bladder? It doesn’t appear so, but I just wanted to double check since you’ve used it for outdoor activity.

      Unanswered Question

How is this for day hiking? The back zip pouch seems like it would fit a hydration bag fine, which is usually less annoying than a water bottle on the side anyway.

      How to Measure:
      Torso:
-Have a friend locate the bony bump at the base of your neck, where the slope of your shoulder meets your neck. This is your 7th cervical vertebra (C7). Tilt your head forward to locate it more easily. This is the top of your torso length.
-Place your hands on top of your hips bones, with fingers point forward, thumbs in back. This it eh "shelf" on which your pack will rest. The middle of an imaginary line drawn between your thumbs is the bottom of your torso length.
-Using the tape measure, your friend should measure the distance between the C7 and the imaginary line between your thumbs. Be sure you stand up straight when being measured. You know should have your torso length.
      Waist:
Measure around your waist just above your hips.
