PatagoniaArbor Grande 32L Backpack

Disappearing to-do lists.

Built for those days you'd rather play than do any real work, the Patagonia Arbor Grande 32L Backpack offers ample storage for your harness, climbing shoes, and a chalk bag—or books and a laptop should your day actually require that you get some work done. A durable polyester exterior withstands brushes with buildings and trees alike, while the DWR treatment defends your gear against light moisture and precipitation.

The Arbor Grande is Patagonia's largest offering in the heritage pack line up. It features a generously sized main compartment that easily accommodates enough supplies for work or a day hike. Meanwhile, the zippered laptop sleeve is sized to fit most 15-inch laptops and doubles as an insulated hydration sleeve when your day takes you to the trails. The front stash pocket is ideal for a train pass or items you need on-the-fly access to. Human Curve shoulder straps offer a comfortable carry, so you can take the Arbor Grande out on day-long jaunts and not have to worry about the pack being a bother.

Classic Patagucci Design

    Durable, Lightweight, Great Looks.

This pack is awesome for day hikes, city walks, or anywhere else your life takes you.

    Pretty Great

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This backpack is exactly what I wanted it to be. Good quality fabric and the zippers are super smooth. I love the access zipper to the laptop compartment so I can grab it when I get to work without emptying out my bag. The water bottle compartment is also great and much better looking than the elastic water bottle pockets on the outside of most backpacks. I absolutely love having a hiking-pack-style top compartment on this thing too. Perfect spot for my wallet, keys, and other items I need quick access to- and it's super roomy so everything isn't crammed in on top of eachother. My only small criticism is that the shoulder straps could be more padded and better quality, but they're not uncomfortable. I also wish the pack was an inch or two deeper- most of the volume is vertical- but in reality that actually makes it more convenient for commuting on the T. Highly recommend this pack.

    Perfect Day Hike Bag!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've loved using the Patagonia Arbor Grande 32L for day hiking and quick camping trips. It's rugged, but beautiful - holding up to rough treatment and looking good while doing so! I purchased this in True Teal, and love the pop of color. The large inner pocket can be secured with both a built-in cinch bungee and double straps, and reminds me of something straight out of Mary Poppins ... it's deceptively large and holds a ton! It's really the little things that make this bag so special. A zipper on one side gives you instant, easy access to your belongings, while a zippered water bottle pocket on the opposite side allows you to access your bottle from both inside and out (it holds a large Nalgene with ease!). The quick access pocket on the top is perfect for keys, phones, first aid kits, or other small items. Finally, the compartments in the front zippered pocket help keep all of your small items easily organized. The padded straps make this bag a breeze to shoulder for long distances, even when fully packed. My only wish was that it had a sternum strap, but I ended up removing the waist belt and sewing it to the straps to function as one. Now it truly is perfect! I'd recommend this bag to anyone - it's a gem!

    Awesome pack,

Lots of space, convenient side access for the laptop, spacious side pocket, front pocket organizer. Straps are comfortable. Seems super durable.
