    GravelKing SK 650b Tire

When your adventure points you down winding gravel roads, packed with bumps, jarring corners, and sandy patches, reach for Panaracer's GravelKing SK 650b Tire, and get your off-road steed ready for a good time. These grippy tires make an ideal partner in crime when your ride soars well beyond the tarmac, with a wide casing and whopping 48mm girth that allows you to get away with low tire pressures for a bit of pneumatic suspension to take the sting out of wash-board hard pack country roads. The ZSG Natural Compound balances low rolling resistance with tread longevity, giving you the best in efficiency and durability along mixed gravel and asphalt surfaces. Please note, the tread on the GravelKing SK is tight, and while it excels for low rolling resistance, it isn't the best tire for muddy conditions, as Panaracer developed a specific version of the GravelKing ideal for sloppy muck.

    • Lofty hoops for gravel grinding adventures
    • Tight tread keeps rolling resistance down
    • Huge 48mm volume allows you to run low tire pressures
    • ZSG Natural Compound balances rolling speed with durability
    • Anti-Flat Casing prevents flats and nasty punctures

    Defective tire

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Sent them back for a credit. One tire was defective. The bead was pushed outward.Impossible to set in rim and inflate using tubeless setup. They didn't have any more in this size.I think this was this one tire specific problem.

Tough to beat for the price

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 650b x 48 mm

GK SK 650b is a very fast rolling gravel/adventure tire. It’s slightly heavy, but the weight is offset by its amazing rolling speed. It does have a protection belt and seems quite sturdy, even in the non + form. It’s volume is as advertised - maybe a few mm more on wider internal rims (50mm on 25mm IR). Tubeless setup was easy. Drawbacks include a bit of a vague floaty sensation over thick gravel, particularly concerning in a curve. However, it does seem to grip and bite well on singletrack. Most at home on dry surfaces with mostly fine gravel or dirt. Ride comfort is excellent as well (I run 24 psi F and 28 psi rear). The deal clencher is the price. I was able to purchase a pair for less than the cost of a single “premium” gravel tire. I’d say it’s tough to beat.
