Splitter Work Glove

In the event of a fall or while rappelling, the Outdoor Research Splitter Work Glove gives you, the belayer, a helping hand to handle the rope with control and comfort. Its durable leather construction wraps your hand with a close-fitting design for optimal dexterity, while still maintaining the breathability necessary to prevent sweaty palms. Anti-slip material on the back of this glove further adds to your control, and the convenient carabiner loop at the wrist keeps your gear close at hand. Plus, an easy-to-use and secure hook-and-loop closure gives you just the right fit every time you pull it on.

  • Control the rope with confidence when using this leath glove
  • Full leather construction blends durability with dexterity
  • Anti-slip material on back adds grip and control
  • Tapered wrist and hook-and-loop closure provide a snug fit

just got these

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: xl

Just got them in today so I am unable to give too much feedback as to grip and durability. They are dexterous enough you could take them to the range, especially if you have a roomy trigger guard. I have large palms, so most gloves fit tight and these were no exception..almost had a hard time putting them on. They are ALL leather(something I look for), except for the black protective patch on the back. Leather will stretch to fit your hand and can be oiled to help with fitting, durability, and water resistance. When you get them, wear them often- the warmth and oil from your hands helps them break in before you put them to hard use. Even though they are for rock climbing, I got them for outdoor work. Very pleased with them but I think they're about $5 more than they should be. Can't wait to get out and use them.

How to Measure:
Measure the hand cirumference around your hand at the widest point excluding the thumb. Just below the base of your fingers. Also measure your hand length from the base of your palm to the end of your middle finger. Use the larger of the two measurements to select your glove size.
