Retro looks, futuristic protection.
One of the greatest celebrations of Outdoor Research's legacy in outdoor gear that goes all the way back to the '80s, the Retro Seattle Sombrero takes the original design (even the same colors from that decade) and injects some serious tech into it with fully sealed seams and a three-layer Gore-Tex construction that keeps heavy precipitation at bay. Then, the internal adjustable cinch-band keeps it in place, UPF 50+ protection guards against harmful sun rays, and a packable design weighing in at a mere 3.2 ounces ensures that this lid is your top packing priority for any outdoor adventure.

- Q & A
Outdoor Research Retro Seattle Sombrero
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This hat fits well, and is really well-made and love the bright color. But it is a little too warm to hike in due to the lining because it doesn't have side vents. It's more of a fall/spring hat, rather than a summer hat.
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Stay dry in 80s style!!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Love the OR retro line! This hat is super comfortable and keeps you dry even in our Washington torrential downpours. Love, love it!
