Amazingly lightweight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been searching for the perfect raincoat for fieldwork for years. This jacket is ultra lightweight and breathable. It is very comfortable, even in the Florida heat

Great jacket

I bought this jacket for a summer backpack trip and was very impressed. It's incredibly lightweight and packs down small, great for warm weather. We got caught in a downpour and this kept me dry. This jacket also airs out and dries quickly. The ONLY compliant is the lack of pockets but that shouldn't deter you from buying this product

A solid investment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife loves the fit, color, quality, and compactness. It is a great piece of equipment to have on hikes in Alaska.

Fantastic raincoat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this as part of my backpacking kit in the PNW, where the rain lines to surprise us. From outright rain to the nonstop drizzle that soaks everything this jacket performs like no other!

Always in my pack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of my essentials, gear that always lives in my pack. It's perfect, nearly weightless but does what it's supposed to. Add a pocket to pack it smaller.

Amazing fabric and wonderful travel piece!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything this jacket is advertised to do it does. It does a decent job of keeping drizzle out and transporting moisture away from your body. The fabric is uniquely textured and has a nice comfortable feel even next to the skin. The cut is tailored somewhere between athletic and causal, and for me this is perfect. It's a great looking garment! The one caveat is that this is not a truly technical piece, it's more suited as travel-ware in your luggage or pack; something for a casual hike or to wear round town in light rain. Without pit zips to dump heat I can imagine I'd get too hot and clammy on extended accents or when carrying a loaded pack. I wouldn't count on it shedding water in a downpour either, but for the price, it's excellent at what it can accomplish. I highly recommend!

Love it

Not waterproof, but still great. I fear purchased it when the weather forecast for my first 100k race looked cold and wet, and I didn't think my Houdini would do it. I wore this jacket for all the miles (luckily didn't chafe ... I know no new is good new, but I had no choice) and I stayed dry enough and warm enough to keep going. I think a fully waterproof jacket wouldn't have been breathable enough, and I'd have been hot.
