Hangs with your every move.
Finally, a short that keeps up with your every move on the trail or crag. The Outdoor Research Women's Ferrosi Summit Short doesn't sacrifice easy-wearing comfort for durability, thanks to its 90D stretch woven ripstop fabric. This ultra-light, yet tough-wearing fabric is just the ticket to active-wearing bliss in hot summer weather. Effortlessly sliding under a climbing harness, its low-profile waistband won't add excess bulk when you're sport climbing at the local crag. Movement-mirroring stretch means it won't hold you back either. Plus, the handy zippered thigh pocket makes easy work of storing keys, cash, and daily necessities.

- Q & A
Great hike short, lousy size chart
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: 2
I was looking for new hiking shorts similar to Patagonia's happy hike shorts that were the right length for mountain scrambles in California. These were perfect. Perfect length, right size pockets so i could actually throw my phone in the back without it falling it out. the zippered side pocket kept my small items safe and the hand pockets could actually fit my hand. Tiny or non-existent pockets have been my biggest complaint with other shorts. They also dry super quick after a jump in the river! The size chart is way off though, I'm normally a size 2 but the chart said i was a size 8. I ordered an 8 only having to return them, I re-ordered a 2 and they fit great.
Do OR women’s shorts run true to size, or tight or baggy? Thanks
Hi Suzette! OR's women's shorts tend to run pretty true to size. That being said, these shorts are designed with a Trim fit so they will be a little more form fitting than most.
