The Alpine Down Hooded Jacket is one of Outdoor Research's warmer puffies better geared for 6000 meter alpinism. It's loaded with 800-fill down insulation to feel surprisingly warm for how little the jacket weighs. A hybrid construction, the shell combines ultralight, ultra-packable Pertex Quantum Y fabric around the body with more protective Pertex Quantum Pro fabric at the hood and sleeves. Quantum Pro reinforces high-wear areas with added weather-resistance to bead raindrops and snowflakes right off the shell. Outdoor Research fitted the shell with Dynamic Reach gussets to ensure full mobility on the mountain.
