As safety pioneers and wool experts, we offer high-quality, functional equipment for mountaineers, both in the sectors of hard goods and clothing. Both our emergency equipment and our mountainwear are characterized by their systemic nature and their high functionality. All elements can be combined with each other and provide the necessary protection and the desired comfort, either on their own or in combination. In winter 2014/15, our emphasis is on equipment for traditional backcountry tourers, but, just like in recent years, we’ve also got the ideal clothing and equipment for freeriders.

<p>Built for the most technical tours and arduous alpine assaults, the Ortovox Shovel Pro Alu III Shovel + Pocket Spike offers added reassurance in demanding terrain. It offers the same lightweight functionality, rigid construction, and efficiency-maximizing design you've come to expect from Ortovox shovels, with the added benefit of a removable pocket spike and shaft spike that transform your shovel into a functional ice axe. Although not meant to replace an actual ice axe, this shovel comes in handy when most of the skin up is pretty standard, but the final approach requires a bit of extra gear to safely navigate.</p>
