Agreed - runs small
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I really like this product but I wish I’d read the reviews before ordering my usual size. I’m 5’2ish and around 120 lbs and typically wear XS in Ortovox products. By the time I received my order Backcountry was all out of my color in size small. That said, I’ll keep it as I really love the hoody and don’t mind wearing things a little on the snug side. I just won't be able to layer it over anything more than a slim t-shirt. The hood is a little more substantial than most hoodies of a similar cut, which I really like and the cut is flattering. It’s a lightweight product but I find merino to be very warm for the weight.

Incredible
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Once you go Ortovox, it?ll be hard to wear anything else. Yes, the price is steep but they are designed perfectly and hold up to anything. This midlayer is impossibly warm for how thin it is - I am literally stunned when I wear it and tell everyone to feel how thin the thing is. It?s warm, breathable, packable, comfortable, and functional - not to mention very pretty. I can?t get enough Ortovox. The brand runs on the small side - I usually wear XS or S and I bought a medium in this, and just to fit over a baselayer. You really won?t regret spending some extra money on their products. I use this: splitboarding, cross-country skiing, ice climbing, and winter hiking and backpacking/camping (temperatures well below zero so far). Put it in your shopping cart!!
