Why We Like The Heron 9 Kayak

Old Town created the Heron 9 Kayak for beginner boaters who want to feel comfortable and confident on the water without breaking the bank. This boat is an easy-going, stable craft that's ideal for novice paddlers with a hankerin' for fun. The compact design makes it supremely maneuverable and easy to transport, and two rod holders help you effortlessly bring your fishing gear on the day's outing. We appreciate that the adjustable seating accommodates a wide range of paddlers, and that Old Town designed a hull that feels rock-solid in all types of conditions.

Hit by Car and Still Works

On my way home from making this spectacular purchase, the boat took flight off my rack on the highway: swiftly striking the bumper of a lexus, proceeded by being run over by the vehichle at a reasonable 60 MPH. I recovered the boat with the NH State Police and against my best judgement took it out for its maiden voyage the next day. THE BOAT STILL WORKS GREAT.
