Great Lens

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I got the rose lens and it is great for flat and low light days. It holds up on a brighter day as well so you don't have to worry if you are on the fence at the beginning of the day on which lens to use. It is really easy to switch out too. Just pop out a couple of tabs and pop in the new lens.

Great lens for avg. light to flat

    Awesome look

    Prizm Is For Real

So I have a pair of the Flight Decks with the Prizm Jade Iridium lens, and decided I wanted a dedicated low light lens. That's where the High Pink Iridium came in. It's without a doubt the best low light lens I've had the opportunity to try. Contrast in the snow is easy to see even in stormy conditions. I'm not a huge fan of the lens swapping process Oakley has for these goggles, but the quality of the lens is undeniable. Let me know if you have any questions about the Prizm lens spectrum, and what sort of conditions each lens is best used for. nchan@backcountry.com

Prizm Hi Pink for white out days

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

An amazing lens for low contrast days. Last year I skied with the Prizm Rose lens on overcast or whiteout days and was less that happy with the results in low/flat light. This season I added the Hi Pink lens to my kit and on my first day at Grand Targhee, the clouds rolled in and it started to snow in the afternoon. I switched to the Hi Pink lens and was amazed at how much detail and contrast I could see in pretty bad conditions. It kept me on the mountain when a lot of other skiers had shut it down.

    Crazy Lens

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Got these Prizm lens for my Flight decks because I needed a good all around color lens. I went with the Jade Iridium and they are so sick, and the flight decks are super easy to switch out the lens on. It is crazy how much contrast and color they bring out in the snow compared to just a regular lens. They block out just about all of the sun, and make low light days so much easier to see bumpy terrain. Overall, awesome lens that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great lens to bring out the contrast in the snow, block the sun, and not have to deal with any fogging!

The low light prizm lens is the best lens I have used. Makes skiing in white out easier. Looks cool too!

Having Goggle Flight Deck with Prizm Black Iridium / Jade / Rose also Hi Yellow.
2 Lenses Black Iridium and Rose is all you need for all kind of conditions, for night clear can be added.
Prism lenses are much better then traditional.
Jade is to light for bright sun, Hi Yellow have poor resolution (rose is much better)
I also try new goggle Airbrake and Line Miner, but Flight Deck is still the best in comfort and unrestricted vision.
If you watch video how to change a lens, then is as easy as the most advertised interchangeable.

Transitioning from a standard lens to Prizm is similar to scrapping your VHS player for 4K quality, it's like opening your third eye. Colors pop, clarity is enhanced and your experience on the mountain is improved as a result.

I've ordered Flight Deck lenses from Backcountry on two separate occasions (Prizm Sapphire & Clear) and both have arrived within 24 hours of me placing my order...with FREE shipping!

      Unanswered Question

Would the Rose Prizm lens or the HI Pink Irdium Prizm lens be better in very flat light? Which one is the best for flat light?

      Prizm for the win!

The prizm lens is a game changer! The definition and clarity is unmatched. This lens is easy to change out and makes your day on the mountain that much better.

I own 3 Prizm lense I've used the rose and sapphire in variable light conditions. The rose is amazing this is my second season with it and it is by far the best lense I have ever had the definition in low light is incredible and also works good in all but the sunniest conditions. The sapphire is my go to all around lense and looks great too. If u see these in stock and are rocking oakleys grab these are flying of the shelves like crazy we have had them in and out of stock.
