Big vision, small price tag.

Looking for a quality goggle that provides unrestricted visibility and won't cost more than your outerwear? The Oakley 02 XL Goggle has you covered with a wide-open field of view, a comfortable streamlined fit, and a modest price tag.

A large lens design expands peripheral view in every direction to help you master all that you survey, and it has an F2 anti-fog coating to fight fog buildup. Triple-layer fleece foam evenly distributes pressure across your face for a comfy fit and it wicks moisture to keep your face dry. Moto-style strap attachments make it helmet compatible so you can stay safe out there. And for all you out there who ride with glasses, Oakley hooked it up with discreet frame notches at the temples that allow you to wear most prescription eyeglasses underneath.

Great price point

I have bought a few pairs of these as gifts for the occasional skier. Can’t beat the price point for an Oakley frame.

    Why not go with oakley

I was in the market for a new pair of goggles to keep for back up. For a back up pair I didn't want to spend a lot of money, so I feel like these are a good pair to go with if your not looking to spend a ton of money. Used them a few times and fogged up on me once, not a big deal. If I had to do it over again id pick these again.

Oakley O2 XL / Jade Iridium Lens

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

First time I wore these goggles it was snowing; worked great! The lens didn't fog even with a face mask. Clarity was perfect and snow on the front of the lens didn't seem to affect anything. The goggles have a wide range of vision and are true to size. The strap is a little tight to fit around the helmet but still works; fits perfectly under a helmet without the ear pads. Only reason I took away one star from the rating is because the goggle lens aren't actually what they look like in the picture. Jade Iridium was pictured to be tinted green with blue and purple; the actually color is more of a bright yellow with some green. Once the goggles are on face however, they are tinted enough where other people can't see through them which is a nice bonus.

      O2 XL / Iridum

        Simple yet stylish frame!

        O2 XL / Iridum

        Great goggles

Couldn't be happier with these affordable goggles from Oakley. Performed flawlessly, never fogged up and were super durable and lightweight. Clear and beautiful in overcast and direct sunshine on snow. Perfect!

          Unanswered Question

are the lenses iridium? i like the reflection when i look into them since its great for pictures and reducing glare. Dicks sells the same ones but the lenses look different.

Are these goggles completely mirrored in person like they look in the picture?

          Small heads or helmets only

          • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

The Persimmon lens is excellent for clarity.
However, the strap at full length is too short to fit over an adult's helmet without a lot of pressure. And when I put it on my head without a helmet, the pressure is too much.

If you have a smaller than average head size, these would be excellent for the money.

          Great goggles

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times

First of all they are Oakleys which makes them awesome to begin with. I have tried other goggles but none as nice as these. I sometimes wear them with or without my glasses and they work great either way. Very comfy and I got them at a great price on!

            Does what it's suppose to

            • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought these as a backup goggle for friends and family. Even so, I had to give them a try and they do what they are suppose to. I used them once for daytime ski and once and night. I didn't have a problem with them in the day, but at night they seemed to fog up a bit easy. But still, a killer price for a good pair of goggles.

            Great value

            • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are stellar oakley goggles for pretty cheap. They have a nice look and it is pretty easy to switch the lenses. Overall really great product

            Gets the job done.

            • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I usually don't have to wear goggles where I ski and snowboard because our winters are not that bad, but there has been a time or two when the snow makers blasted my face. These goggles feel great and secure. I was able to see clearly without them fogging up. I consider myself to have a "medium" shaped head, and these felt great. I didn't feel that they were too bulky on my face and was able to look up/down/left/right without too many restrictions.

Can you see well in the Dark with the mirror lens?

My guess is No, but I just want to make sure...Thanks!

            Hey Aurore,

A mirrored lens does effectively decrease the Visual Light Transmission (VLT) of the lens. For overcast days or night riding you want the VLT to be at least 60% or above. Check out the size chart and it will give you the VLT for each lens.

Do the fire iridium lenses mirror?

Yes. The Oakley 02 XL Lens in Fire Iridium does create a mirror effect when worn.

            Work OK with glasses

            • Familiarity: I've used it several times

My wife got these because they are big and would fit over her glasses. Unfortunately, her glasses kept fogging up under them so she had a difficult time seeing where she was going. Thankfully she has been able to get contacts to wear while riding.

The visibility is pretty good in all directions except down. I'm not sure if there are goggles that have good downward visibility, but these seem to stick out pretty far from her face (presumably to make room for glasses under), which gets in the way of downward visibility. These are decent goggles, but didn't end up working out for being used with prescription glasses.

How dark is the matte black/dark grey goggles? Looking for something for sunny days.

That lens is about as dark as you can get without having a grey mirror lens. It would be a solid option if you are looking for a devoted sunny day goggle.

            They Do the Job

            • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

A very simple design allowing a great field of vision. The design allows a pretty decent fill around the perimeter of your face when wearing a helmet so you don't get extra cold air coming in everywhere. There has been no issue of fogging either. They're not that special to look at so if flashy is your game, these aren't for you. These will simply function well without blowing the budget. Just the basics.

            They're my wife's primary goggle.
