NRSSandal Sock

A lightweight warm sock for water sports.

The NRS Sandal Sock gives you a bit of insulation for cold feet, without the bulky addition of a full-size wet sock. 2mm-thick neoprene adds a bit of warmth, while the fully taped seams reduce the flow of cold water. A HydroCuff creates a comfortable seal around your ankle and holds the warm water in, to increase warmth.

Sizes Run Big

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Sizes are a little off. I'm a size 6 women's and the xsmall was still a little too big for me (bunched up in my shoes, near the toes).

Comfortable feet in 55 degree water.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Late May trip to the boundary waters during a chilly spring gave these things a decent test. Feet stayed comfortable the whole time. I portaged heavy gear and carried my 18 foot canoe in my sandals with these on. Feet were pruney at the end of the day but it beats severely cold feet. They also fit basically as I expected based on the reviews on here and were comfortable.

Not a good fit

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

It's not just my feet because my sons had the same impression of their sets. Just not comfortable under sandals or water shoes. Almost like the toe box has a vertical bias rather than a horizontal bias. Maybe they would have formed to foot in time but I've never had a NRS product that didn't fit perfectly right out of the box.

Big Foot meets Flipper

I've got a size 13 foot in a shoe, skiboot, slipper and sock.

This NRS Water Sock fits my size 13 foot well with the XL. I was reluctant to order the XL because XXL is listed as size 13 but other reviewers said it fit large. They were right. Thanks to them, I went with the XL.

I will wear these water socks for all water/summer related activities in comfort.

Highly recommend XL for a size 13 foot.

    Great Sock!

    Big Foot meets Flipper

    Run large

      Run very large,

      Way too big

Sizing is definitely off. By NRS chart, I needed a large, finally got a small and they are even alitte too big, but doable. Quality is not that good either.

        Great water socks

I purchased these to replace a pair I had but couldn't find. I was nervous that these were ankle sock height since my other ones were crew sock height, but these turned out to work well. I use them for open water swimming / triathlon and although they are a little loose in the foot area (I was between sizes and advised to order up - I wear a women's size 8 1/2 and ordered a medium), they are snug enough around the ankle that they stay on without a problem. One benefit I discovered is that these are much easier to get on and off than the taller ones I misplaced, which is especially important during a race.

I had to return these. I wear a women's size 7-7 1/2 shoe and my ankles are fairly petite. They were a little too big in the foot and ankle but, the length was good. I was buying them to go inside a dive bootie and I believe sand would have entered the sock due to the lack of a seal around my ankle.
