Warm, wicking, and water-repellent.
What to wear on a kayak tour can present a bit of a paradox—it can be chilly, but you’re moving, working hard, and sweating, and you're going to get splashed. Sounds like a job for the NRS Men’s HydroSkin. This shirt uses NRS' ThermalPlush cropped fleece lining that both increases insulation and wicks moisture, a titanium laminate adhesive layer for added warmth, and a four-way stretch PowerSpan outer layer with a DWR coating for flexibility and water-repellency.
- Q & A
Awesome for all water sports
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This is my go-to layer for all water sports. On hot days this will be the only layer I will wear under my PFD. On cool mornings and other days I will throw a short or long sleeve dry top over this. During spring season kiteboarding on the Columbia I will throw this under my wetsuit for a little warmth and comfort. This is a great top for a little extra warmth or even to block the sun.
This shirt was the difference in being able to hang in the chilly waters of lake Michigan on vacation with the kids! Paddle boarding and paddling were fun and comfortable!
