Amazing Light in weight very warm jacket
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
This is my first high quality down jacket I've ever owned and I have been absolutely astonished by how light in weight and warm this jacket is. I've worn this for many activities; where I'm generating my own body heat. Where this jacket really knocked my socks off was when visiting my family in northern Minnesota for Christmas. I stopped to fill up with gas on a -35F day with winds blowing at 30+mph, having a feels like -52F. I got out to fill up my vehicle with this jacket and my upper body stayed warm when my legs were freezing from the cold harsh wind. I then put my hood up and my whole upper body was toasty warm, just standing there filling up my vehicle. That instance completely sold me on how valuable this down jacket is. My partner even grabs this jacket to go outside with the dog and she is always cold, but not in this jacket. Not only is it warm, but it is very packable and is always in my pack when going into the backcountry on a tour or traverse. I absolutely love this jacket.
