NorronaLyngen Driflex3 Pant - Men's

Made to move.

Some skiers suffer through the trek to the top to reap the gravity-powered powder turns. Others enjoy the hike up just as much as the way down. The Norrona Men's Lyngen Driflex3 Pant was made for those who fall into the latter camp. It combines the waterproof capabilities of a hardshell with the stretch and breathability of a softshell to keep you comfortable whether you're headed up or down.

Driflex3 fabric shields you from the wettest storms while offering the flexibility needed to tour, hike, and ski comfortably. It's also highly breathable to keep you from overheating on grueling treks and features Cocona technology to help it dry rapidly. Full-length side zippers let you cool off almost instantly after an arduous push to the peak.

The Zip-Seal system connects the Lyngen to your Norrona jacket to create a snow-proof barrier on the deepest powder days. The Custom-fit waist system features adjustable tabs that help you get the perfect fit. Cordura-reinforced hems increase durability so your ski boots don't shred your pant legs. Multiple zippered pockets offer ample space to store maps, snacks, and whatever else you need for a day in the mountains.

I tried to order the Norrona Lyngen Driflex 3 men's pant in large, Birch green and as I was processing my order it was no longer available. Can you please let me know if this item is still available. Thank you, Cameron

Awesome pants

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

I searched high and low for a perfect pair of pants that could be used for touring and at the resort. I think I finally found them. First and foremost my biggest complaint about snow pants in general is bagginess. Not sure why baggy pants are a trend, but I hate it. These pants are just a tad baggy at the bottom, but mostly an athletic fit the rest of the way up.

The pockets are great and work well to carry maps, beacon, gloves and a hat. The pants are actually not full length zip, they cut short right by the waistband, which I actually prefer.

The "full zip" adds excellent ventilation. Recently tested that out during a tour with a crazy inversion change of temperature from the base at 28 F to the ridgeline at 46 F

I recently put the Driflex3 material though a very wet day of constant snow at Mt. Baker and it kept me dry the entire day. I was impressed how well this material compares to gore-tex while being very soft.

As far as sizing is concerned I did not have any issues based on the size chart. These pants also have a adjustable velcro waistband. My only complaint is the zipper length on the fly, it is way to short.

Overall really impressed by the pants so far.

Waist sizing is wildly off

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Medium and Large

Well-made pants - and I love Norrona's Zip-Seal system - but the waist runs a size smaller than the rest of the pants in every size.

Good pant but sizing is off

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Large

I am generally a medium in all my clothes. Tired this pant in a medium and the bib and waist were too tight. Cloud not even close the pants. Went to the large... waist was better but bib was still uncomfortably tight. Pant legs were extremely long in the size large for me. Size medium was better in the length but too tight in the waist.
Norrona needs to get their sizing in order.
