Norrøna Lofoten Dri1 PrimaLoft166 Short Glove

Check the box.

While pretty pom poms and decorative leather tassles make ski gloves look nice, are they really necessary? It's safe to say most of us really just want a pair of gloves that will keep our hands warm and dry. Well, rest assured, because the Norrona Lofoten Dri1 Primaloft166 Short Glove can confidently check the box on both of these requirements.

Being Norrona's warmest waterproof gloves, the Lofoten is insulated with varying degrees of Primaloft insulation to maintain warmth and minimize needless bulk through the palm. For waterproof protection, the glove is fitted with a 2.5-layer Dri1 membrane to effectively seal out wetness, leaving your hands nice and dry. The palm is reinforced with leather for increased durability and grip, and the addition of a hook-and-loop tab at the cuff means you won't have to deal with snow getting inside your gloves.

Good For Warm Winter Days

Compact glove with good water resistant qualities. Not adequately insulated for weather much below 20 degrees F. Palm is thin and a cold ski pole definitely chills the hand. I am disappointed in the advertised "warmest, water resistant glove offered by Norrona" and was hoping for a more utilitarian cold weather glove. Norrona usually offers more robust outerwear. Works well with wide cuff ski jackets/winter coats. Adapts well also to elastic closure cuff jackets. Not impressed with the ridiculously flimsy security glove-to-wrist cord. This looks like an afterthought to save weight(?). These are not expedition gloves and weight is not an issue. There are better products on the market for the price. OK for outdoor activities around the 32 F, 0 C temperature range.
