Norrøna /29 Logo Beanie

The Norrøna /29 Logo Beanie uses museling-free merino wool to keep your head warm and toast. Merino wool is naturally breathable, wicking, and antimicrobial so your head will feel great, and your beanie won't end up smelling like a sock.

Hand wash COLD

  • Fit: True to size

Love this hat and love that it comes in large because I have a large head. The wool is soft and warm and the graphic makes a statement. But I washed the first one on gentle cycle in warm water and it shrank to a size so small, it wouldn't fit on a child's head. Hand wash COLD.

Unanswered Question

What makes it so expensive, it looks nice and soft and it is a good brand but why so much for the beanie?

Best toque around!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

This is by far the best toque I have ever owned. It is full merino wool that does not itch, is extremely breathable, quick drying and warm. I haven't been able to find anything comparable by any other manufacture that doesn't have a lining. It feels way more comfortable without a lining, and doesn't bunch up like fleece lined wool hats. It is also great how Norrona makes sizes so you can find the perfect fit. Perfect for ski mountaineering

Beanie that fits!

I got a big head. Finally found a beanie that fits it and then some. Super warm...but, the Orange Crush in the photo on Backcountry is different than what I got - it's the updated version as seen on the Norrøna site, with green writing and logo.

Is this a slouchy? It sorta looks like it is in the product image but not the community image. Maybe the dude in the community image has a ginormous noggin?

I think this beanie does have a bit of extra fabric around the upper perimeter, based off observation of the product image and the community image. Notice how the gentleman in the community image (courtesy of "Dane") has a slight protrusion that is clearly not "hugging" his head, but is resting above the topmost part of his cranium. If you wanted it to hug all parts of your head, including the top, you could put a little roll around the bottom edge so that your eyes would not get covered up, but otherwise, I think it is a bit on the tall side, as far as beanies go.

The product dimensions I found on Amazon list it as being 10x8x1 inches.

    Hope this helps.

    yep..it is nice

    and it is warm

What color is that you are using?

    A little warmer...

A little warmer and thicker than the standard beanie. Perfect weight for mid winter storms. Nice, high quality wool hat and no itch. Even fits my fat 7.5 head ver well with good coverage.

    Great Beanie

The temps here dropped into the twenties recent accompanied by 30 mph wind. I put on my new Norrona Beanie and my Mountain Hardwear Niles jacket and was toasty warm. The wind was simply not a factor. I was warm. I would recommend this beanie to anyone wanting to own a warm head cover

I have nothing but love for this beanie. I got the pink one with red logo and the colors are a little more muted than shown on this picture. However, when it is -40 F outside, my body is color blind (not that I don't like the color).

      PLUSH!

This wool beanie is incredibly soft and supple, very gentle to the skin. It breaths incredibly well and wicks sweat away from the head. The weight of last years model was much better, it had a heavier weight to it which felt a little better than the weight of this years, but I still like it none the less. This is really nice when it is really cold out 0-3c and when it is warmer out it vents nicely. I have been wearing it a lot winter trail running, skiiing, and ice climbing under my helmet. It is stylish for casual wear and hanging out and the weight is versatile enough for any other activity in the colder months. Warning the blue on the Norrona Green hat is not quite as vivid blue as it is in the pic. It is a little more muted, more like their space blue color that is popular this year.

My norrona green has the exact same colors that i see on my computer monitor. Take it out on the sunlight...it might suddenly look brighter.

No sorry, the green is not what I am talking about like you mentioned on your fuchsia the blue on the green hat is muted. No worries I still love it I don't care to much about the colors it was just and FYI.
