Protect your investment.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Fits my Hubba Hubba NX perfectly, easy to include in setting up the tent. I'm a firm believer in using a tent footprint most of the time; you probably put a screen protector on your expensive phone, so why wouldn't put something underneath your expensive tent???

The Perfect Addition

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Bought this for my dad, here is his review:
"You may as protect your expensive tent, so this is the perfect addition to do that. Its pre-cut, and super easy!"

Preserve the Tent

For rough surfaces this is essential for preserving my tent! Also, when camping on a damp surface it really helped keep the base of my tent clean.

Is this for the 2 person tent?

Hey Jessica, this is for the Hubba Hubba which is the 2 person tent.

    Worth it

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I'm big on space when packing for an overnight trip, so at first I was hesitant on bringing this footprint up with me. After using it, I quickly realized how necessary it really is. It protects my Hubba Hubba from wear and tear. It's easy to use and clean. 10/10 would recommend to a pal!

    Fairly easy setup

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This footprint is nice, it just feels like it fits not quite right. It has been super helpful for protecting the bottom of my tent. A separate stuff sack would have been nice, but mine is also sewn on.

    Floor saver!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Used the tent heavily on rugged ground and this definitely prevented a lot of wear and tear for very little weight. Also is great for setting up the ultralight setup and having a floor

    Just needs adjusting

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

So the tabs at the corners of this foot print are a little short, so when attached to the pole ends, it causes the edge of the footprint to stick out (since tabs at all corners are too short). This reveal as we all know allows rain to drip on top of the footprint...not good. I had to cinch the corners farther back with a cord so that they wouldn't stick out and catch rain coming off the tent. Yeah...it does make it onto there from the gap between the fly and the bottom of the tent. I shoulda just stuck with TYVEK.

    Not as pictured

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The new Hubba Hubba NX footprint has the stuff sack sewn on. To fold and stuff back is cumbersome and annoying, especially when wet and dirty. Footprint works well. Wish I received the one pictured with separate bag.

Just purchased one myself, and like you got the one with a sewn on stuff-sack, not the one in the picture. Is the older version discontinued?

    Essential for Spring...

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Essential for Spring backpacking or camping when the ground can be pretty mucky. Footprints are a ton easier to clean that tent bottoms. We keep it in a separate bag with our tent. Integration with tent poles worked great.

Must have with MSR Hubba Hubba NX

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

For the money an absolute must have as it will certainly prolong the life of your tent. Its super light and not taking up any extra space really. It stays with my tent in the bag all the time. Easy to set up.

Why do I need a footprint?

This is why... Check out this MSR video on the Hubba NX Series set-up to learn more about optional set ups utilizing the footprint.
