Mayhem Pack In Zion

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great pack! Used it hiking in Zion over 3 days about 19 miles covered. Carries a load well, could get weight on the belt. Loved the pockets on the belt are good for phone (camera) and snacks! The hydration sleeve held a 3L HydraPak ShapeShift with only a little out over the top but no issues. Really like the material on the inside of the belt and back panel, just soft and comfortable. Also the stretch panel on the outside works great for stashing gloves, hats, guide book. I have also used this cragging with a 60m rope, draws, helmet, harness etc. and on backcountry fishing trips with waders, boots, net etc. Just a great do it all pack!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have a small frame so this bag's frame was a little too high for me. Coming up steep inclines proved dangerous as I'd have to lean out in order to see where I was going. Looking up was not an option, however that probably means better neck protection if I were to have fallen. This bag had ample room. I did not love the color nor the mesh on straps. I understand this is for wicking sweat however it snagged on most anything. Comfortable around the waist to wear not meant for a breasted woman on top with strap.

      Twice used great pack!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Used this pack twice so far a 5 mile hike in fishing spot and a full day trad climbing outing. Carried the loads great, plenty of room for a day pack, comfortable and great pockets! I don't hesitate at all to recommend this pack.

      Twice used great pack!

        How to Measure:
Measure your torso length by bending your head forward so your chin touches your chest. Feel for the most prominent bump at the back of your neck. Now measure from that point down to an imaginary line connecting the tops of your hips around your back. This works best with a partner's help.
