Good, watch the water!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I put too much water in this and was a little disappointed at the end, but the flavor and texture was on point! Just make sure you use the right amount of water and you'll have a good time.

Great last-night-in-the-woods meal

A true reward after a few days far from the car. So tasty. But check out those ingredients - probably better served near the end of your trip. Ya know?

Good stuff!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great taste that's even better when you throw in a hand full of Frito Lay BBQ Corn Chips!

Best of the best

Mountain house is my go to backpack meal. These ones especially that are vacuum sealed pack easy. We take them on backpack trips as well as vacations where we know we will be in remote areas and won't have a chance to stoop at the grocery store or gas station (i.e.: brought them on our trip to Iceland). This flavor is my go to! So delicious and nutritious, has the carbs as well as meat source to stay full for a few hours. It also fed me and my husband just fine, but could easily eat one all by myself after a long trek.

Classic space food!

Good stuff after a long day on the trail. Hot, tasty and filling. Good serving size, easy to use. All in all a big win!

Favorite backpacking meal.

This one is my favorite and I always make sure to have at least one package on hand for every trip. Super easy and quick to make. Even better with some hot sauce added.

My expectations for dry meals were really not all that high. But let me just tell you how delicious this meal was. And not just because I would have eaten anything after my long hike in. 2 servings is about right for me (don't judge me). Really impressed with how good this meal was.

backpacking trips than it is worth. These taste like home cooked meals and all I need is boiling water. I shared this with my girlfriend, but i could have eaten one to myself for sure.

Another Favorite

Super tasty, but then again, most Mountain House meals are. If you haven't yet tried this one, I highly recommend it. Very tasty after a long day of hiking.

My favorite dehydrated meal!

The Chilli Mac with Beef has got to be my all time favorite Dehydrated meal! It is so yummy in my tummy!

Pro Tip: Don't turn your zip-locked bag upside down to help mix the water and food. The zip-lock feature is not very strong and you will most likely dump your food all over the ground and scald your hands as well. I have seen this happen many times.
