Coldest “insulated” gloves ever

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Sizing, quality of construction and look are as described/expected, but in 20 deg F weather (no wind) both of my hands were really cold. My hands have good circulation and are normally warm, so these gloves should not be used for direct exposure to cold. They’re good for driving until my car warms up, and that’s how I plan on using them.

Real Nice Spring Skiing Glove

I bought these gloves for use on a spring skiing trip in Colorado and for use on my local mountain. Used the gloves extensively over 6 days in temps ranging from 30 to 55 degrees and they were prefect. Warm enough for near freezing temps but never overly warm for those 45 to 55 degree days. The lining seemed to wick away moisture and kept my hands completely sweat free. Good dexterity for adjusting boots, ski gear and zipping jacket. I especially liked that these were easy to slide on/off even on the hottest days. Really well made too.

    fabric proportions not right

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

My hand measures ~ 7.25 inches from the base of the scaphoid to the tip of the middle finger. I ordered these gloves in a size M thinking that maybe they were compatible, they were not. Even with a medium, when I wrap my fingers around an ice axe, there is an inch of fabric that extends beyond the end of my middle finger. For comparison, these are similar to the fit of an OR Stormtracker Large. I might send these back before actually using them.
