Great steal

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

Not going to lie, I bought these pants because I really liked the color and the price was reasonable. I was looking for fully taped seams and these pants got the job done. I didn't get any snow or water in my pants while boarding, and they never got too hot. I was a little worried about the fit being too tight, but once I got out on the slopes, I didn't have any problems at all! Absolutely love these!

Wore them skiing in Vermont for 3 days straight. With a medium weight under layer I was warm and comfy all day.

Kept me warm

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

Took these to Whistler and put them to work. They were warm on the freezing day, and the ventilation helped air out the heat on the warm days.

I love snow. Who doesn't? Restore your childhood joy for the winter in these snowpants! Clearly they are fun...and roomy...and have side zippers that help you vent off extra heat from snowball fights.

Let's be real though. I really did play in the snow all last winter in these, in the glorious Utah powder, as well as ski, and hike. They keep you very warm, you can layer a ton under them, and the ankle gaiters help the bottoms stay intact longer and snow out of your boots!

Well-made, but extra roomy....

Color, fabric and details are first-rate. I am size 12 and ordered the L (12-14). I am 5'5" 136lbs. and although I realize that I am at the "smaller" end of the size range, these pants are way too big.

warm and light

gf says these keep her warm, and she is always cold. she pairs them with any tight baselayers (UA, patagonia capilene etc) and she has been good down to -25 w/ wind. re-enforced in the ankles to prevent abrasion from ski boots.
heads up, white looks great at the start but gets dirty quick.
5-8, 125 and the medium fits perfect

kinda bummed

I was really excited to get these pants, I'm a big fan of most MH products and I got these at a great deal end of season. Unfortunately, I'll be returning them before I ever use them. I'm 5'6, 155 lbs, and generally fit perfectly into a large from most other companies (North Face, Columbia, etc). I ordered a large in these and they were HUGE on arrival. This I would accept as my fault for not checking sizing well enough (I was in a rush when I ordered them), but in addition, the zippered vents on them are downright silly. They are located on the outside of either thigh (not where I produce most of my heat!) and there is NO MESH on them. So when you unzip the vents, you are left with a gaping hole on your thigh that goes straight down to your base layer. Definitely disappointed.

Women's retunia insulated pants run long

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large

Bought a pair for my wife 5'5" - 128lb a medium fit perfectically except for the length. I looked at MHW web site and noticed that this pant comes in S, R, & L inseam. S=30", R=32", & L= 34". Backcountry only had the R-32" inseam model. Had to return item and ordered directly from MHW. 30" inseam is now perfect.

Pants look great and function perfectly -
