    Great hiking and biking skirt

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: L

I love this skirt! It fits well and is flattering. The color is a nice switch from my usual tan/khaki/black hiking gear. I've biked and hiked with the skirt and it's performed perfectly. I prefer a skirt while hiking so that I'm covered when nature calls (no one wants to see that much of me!) I bought an XL and a L, because I wasn't sure of the sizing. I happily returned the XL.

    Excellent hiking / backpacking piece

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: s

This skirt is one of my favorite pieces of outdoor gear. The DWR finish is good and it beads up water well even after a wash. I don't care about the hem cinch feature and I don't really even see the point.
But the best part is if you're out on the trail then you can pee fast and efficiently without having to deal with pants. You can layer up at night without taking the skirt off, just pull some long underwear on. You can change underwear without taking off your hiking shoes, or go without. How can anyone not love that?
Also you can pull it up to your waist and fit a backpack's hip belt on top AND still access the pockets. No more issues with dumb pants causing a dreadful "pinch zone" between snug low waists and snug backpack hip belts. This skirt is stretchy and slides up and down.
To be fair, it smelled ripe after 3 sweaty days underneath my backpack's hip belt, but I expected as much. Washed with a bit of vinegar when I got home and it's good as new.
Only design feature I'd change is that these pockets aren't great for full-size cell phones during technical hiking. It's fine for phones if you're using it as low-key travel gear to go to dinner, or touristing around a city that isn't swarming with pickpockets. I'd prefer the phone pockets were on the sides, but these pockets are just fine. Your phone won't fall out walking up stairs, but it will climbing up big rocks, obviously.
You can totally go out to dinner in this and look super nice. You could probably wear it to most workplaces. You can wear it on the trail. You can put on leggings underneath, change underwear, or feel the breeze. I'm always looking for items that can hold up to a few days in the wilderness AND a few days in the city, and this item gets it right.

    Love this skirt

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small

The size sm fits perfectly. I am 5’5”, slender/petite/fit. I love the fabric. It gives with movement without chafing or repositioning. I don’t like tight or clingy clothing. This skirt is neither too loose nor constricting.

I live in a very hot, humid climate and this fabric is lightweight so works for me as I am a mega outdoors enthusiast.

The skirt can easily go from the hiking trail to casual dinning, errands around town or walking the dog. Front pockets are good for keys, etc.

Its easy to dress it up or down with a different top or add a scarf. A great, simple skirt.

    Best Skirt!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Size Bought: Small

This skirt is great! Flattering fit and functional! I love the green and the blurple is okay, not a black purple. I ordered a small based on reviews and I'm happy with the fit.

    Love the Pockets

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small

This skirt works great for both work, and hiking with dogs after! I love the pockets, plenty of space for keys, wallets, dog bags, etc. I also like how much you can vary the cinch at the bottom of the skirt! I do wish it had pockets on the back, but the front two are big enough that it hasn't been an issue

    Super cute, functional

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Large

Mountain Hardwear does such a great job at designing clothes that are functional and comfortable on the trail, and still look stellar hitting a restaurant or bar afterward...and this skirt is no exception. Super stretchy, quick-drying, flattering cut, breathable yet wind-blocking. Love the little hem cinch that allows you to choose between two looks...pencil skirt or A-line.

    Comfortable and Quick Dry

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

This skirt has been so comfortable on hot summer days. The picture makes it look like it is sinched in at the bottom and it can be, but you can also let it out all the way so it lies flat like a normal hem. So happy with this summer skirt.

    Cute and Comfy!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

This Mountain Hardwear Dynama Skirt is incredibly comfortable with its great waistband and cute with little details like the hem cinch. You could wear it hiking fishing or just out on the town for a beer.

    How to Measure:
All measurements correspond to equivalent body measurements, not the dimensions of the garment. For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
    Bust:
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
    Sleeve:
Have a friend measure from the center of your back to your wrist.
    Waist:
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
    Hip:
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
    Inseam:
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
