Beloved powder snow is at its best when temperatures drop and the moisture content is low—but our bodies don’t exactly thrive in those same conditions. The Cloud Bank GORE-TEX Insulated Jacket remedies that problem with strategically mapped synthetic insulation that provides extra heat to the core to keep you comfortable from the first chair to the final lap. This jacket also combats the elements with a GORE-TEX shell that not only fights off winter precipitation and wind, but also allows excess heat to escape for internal moisture control.

Was great for 6 hrs until tears developed
After 3 snowboard sessions of 2 hrs each, small tears developed at the rear bottom that punctured through. I didn't hit anything (I only do freeride). The only opportunity for friction are going up in the chairlift and sitting down tying bindings. Nothing that my previous (other brand) jacket did show any wear. The material is definitely not durable. Very disappointed.

Awesome Winter Jacket
I got this jacket to use while snowboarding, Winter hiking, and pretty much anything outdoors when the temperature drops. I’m usually a size large but got an XL to layer underneath Im 6’3 and 215 lbs and it is long enough. I’m impressed with how good the quality is. Took it out for a hike in -26 and with a good base layer and some mid layers it was awesome especially the zippered vents when you get hot. Overall love this jacket well done MHW.

Overall Excellent Jacket

The search has finally ended! I have tried out multiple jackets this season from Outdoor Research, Volcom and 686, all GoreTex jackets. All of them were great but the Mountain Hardwear stood out. The quality of the build and materials is excellent, it's not a super lightweight shell as it does have a decent amount of insulation. Although if you paired this with just a light base layer it would be a decent jacket for backcountry hiking etc. I ride lifts in the NE so I needed something that was insulated but not so heavy that it would be annoying to wear every day. Paired with a decent midweight fleece and this jacket is warm and I can fit a down hoody under it no problem. Plenty of pockets everywhere. The GoreTex fabric on this jacket is almost soft to the touch and not super stiff. Fitment- I'm currently a tad bit heavier than usual at 195 lbs and the Medium fits very well, it's just slightly tight in the armpits and midsection (too much pizza). I also tried the Large and that also fit very well besides the jacket was about 2 inches too long overall and just looked too baggy on me. I believe I am personally right in between the M and L so it's a slightly odd fit for me in the armpits but not bad. I think with a little weight loss the Medium will fit me perfectly. Overall impression - Very quality jacket and I am sure this will last for years. If you are tall and lanky just keep in mind there is a noticeable difference in length between the M and L and the rest of the jacket between sizes is not a huge difference in fit. I didnt give it five stars because nothing is perfect and the fit is a bit off for me personally. I definitely recommend this jacket.
