Interesting design

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: XS

There's a lot to like about this shirt. First of all, it's not the basic AF sun shirt that every company is putting out there. It's got some style to it! And even better, some of that style is functional!

The slit up the back seems like MH's solution to the problem a lot of climbers deal with: if it fits in the waist, it's going to be too tight in the shoulders. Yeah, the side view is a little tent-ish, but the fact that you can lift your arms over your head without the fabric cutting into your armpits is pretty clutch.

The color is also very flattering. I went with the teal color. It's even more saturated in person than in the product shot. It's a gorgeous color.

The one thing that could be improved: the color is a bit tight around the throat. But whatever. Not that big of a deal to undo the top snap.

Note that it runs big. I'm 5'6" and 115#. I ordered an XS. It's generously roomy.

How to Measure:
All measurements correspond to equivalent body measurements, not the dimensions of the garment. For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Bust:
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Sleeve:
Have a friend measure from the center of your back to your wrist.
Waist:
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Hip:
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Inseam:
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
