COMFFFYYY!!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 6

These pants are super duper comfy and still flattering at the same time. I have decent sized calves, so it took a while for me to get used to the cinched leg opening at the calf. Would like to wear these in winter still, but someone may call the fashion police when I start to wear socks with them . Oh well...this is me not caring because they are just so comfortable I am that zennnn. i ordered both the sized 6 and 8, kept the 6...I would say they are true to size

Comfortable

  • Fit: Runs large

These pants are super comfortable. I found that they run slightly too big though. I was planning on wearing a belt with them only to discover that there are no belt loops. They are super durable and seem like they will hold up to use.

Great for climbing

Got these for a climbing trip and they held up great! Didn't scuff or tear on the rock, and I was able to move in them perfectly. The only downside is that they were a little hot in the Kentucky summer.

Greatest Pants Ever

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 14

I love these pants so much I went to Mountain Hardwear's website to order another pair in a color not available on backcountry. I've worn them on hikes, and through a weekend wilderness medicine class with NOLS. They have plenty of room for scrambling and don't scuff on the rocks. I had to get into dirt and gravel a lot in the class and everything brushed right off and the pants felt sturdy. It looks like the knee is reinforced, there was no damage even though I spent two days kneeling on all kinds of terrain. I like that there's a front thigh pocket, it's the perfect size for a map, a notepad, or a large phone. It's got a snap so you can get in and out of it easily. I like that the back pockets zip so I don't have to worry about my stuff falling out if I'm climbing something (or let's be real, my phone falling in the toilet.) I wear them to yoga, and I also wear them to work and they don't look like I've just come off the PCT. They'll probably be my go to travel pants. I would have loved to have had these on some of my longer backpacking trips. Lastly, one of my favorite things about Mountain Hardwear is their pants run true to size.

How to Measure:
All measurements correspond to equivalent body measurements, not the dimensions of the garment. For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Bust:
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Sleeve:
Have a friend measure from the center of your back to your wrist.
Waist:
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Hip:
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Inseam:
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
